Should be a good one or at least news on disposal/turnaround of KRR since they been pressing down the prices to collect so cheap these few weeks.

I doubt that low since most of the expenses due to impairment from closure of stores. Good thing is Berjaya Copy buying up more of the share.

Qtr result is bad, QoQ -172% , YoY -206% , pls avoid this stock for now...Starbuck biz may badly affected due to economy downturn. Starbuck have raised the beverage price, can't believe a Americano (plain coffee) would cost RM9++ ..

McQueen1

Target price for Bj Food should be first

Rm1.50
Then Rm2.00

Since Bj Food owns iconic Starbuck coffee with increasing affluence of middle class plus every growing inbound tourists Bj Food has a bright future.

For Bj Corp the target price should be

1. 50 sen
2. 80 sen

And longer term target price should cross Rm2.50

price still no move...

Posted by ben_and_holly > 2017-10-07 15:43 | Report Abuse

I think it was the KRR's oversea operation (SGP, IDN ) the culprit for the losses. Local KRR's previously still recording profits...

That was the past. Beginning this month, the KRR's menu have been updated, the pricing strategy is closer / matching the competitors. Maybe it might bring positive development in the future.

Prior to this, the pricing strategy was very lousy....totally no match to the close competitors Nando's

Want to say affordable.....with RM 30-40 per meal, totally cannot beat McD, KFC, Texas Chicken with pricing of RM 10-15. ( different range )

With RM 30-40 per meal previously c/w drink, you can have a lot of alternative options out there and the immediate competitor Nando's beaten KRR in clean sweep with attractive loyalty program.

will the share price rebound this week?

Posted by mamakspecial > 2017-11-25 12:37 | Report Abuse

will the share price rebound this week?

the person that can answer you on this ...is probably the richest person in the history of mankind...
NO ONE KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN TOMORROW LA...

when you asked this kind of question..what kind of answer do you expect? SURE IT WILL REBOUND..BUY Buy...then you buy...but it sleeps or falls...then who do you blame??

put your money on other counters la..like inari or penta..those involved in semicon industry...they are the movers..cos the world is going more tech advance and internet based...semiconductor will be used in everything in our lives..more potential...berjaya food is localised business ..with a matured market dy...unless they give out more dividend..the stock wont really move la..cos they are not expected to expand with ONLY 30 million population only in MSIA.

semiconductors are used by people around the world..potential users up to 7 billion ppl or more...since those poorer countries are slowly..but eventually adopting more modern techs.

Starbucks effect

Selling off their Kenny Rogers business in Indonesia was the right move. That subsidiary had been losing about RM 9m/year. Moving forward, if profits remain at current levels, we can probably expect an additional 2 sen in annual dividends (6 sen, instead of 4 sen now).
Big boss TSVT knows this, he snapped up about 1m shares earlier this month.

Here's another thing to consider: 40%-50% of their costs of goods sold (COGS) are in USD. Ringgit has strengthened from a low of 4.50 to 4.08 now; almost 10%! Expect this to add to the bottom-line. Just for some rough calculations, Operation Costs was about RM530m in the last FY2017. Taking 40% COGS, that's around RM212m that might have been denominated in USD. Forex Savings of 10% is ~RM21m/year! (~5.5sen per share!)

So, if invested, just sit back, relax and let the good times roll.

anything under berjaya is prone for manipulation. i suggest avoid until they have shown a credible company for ppl to buy in. Simply just starbucks in their retail business doesnt attract me at all. i say this is another shark stock in making unless the mgt prove this otherwise.

Starbucks coffee will make lots more money due to strong ringgit

While ordering Starbucks coffee I saw the guy who served pulled out a pack of fresh milk with the "Starbucks" logo.

All the fresh milk is imported as well as the coffee beans.

So there is huge savings for Starbucks if ringgit continues to strengthen. That's why Dutch Lady & F&N share price shot up due to cheaper milk import cost. I don't have BJ FOOD but I have BJ CORP which owns BJ FOOD
