i don't make it so complicated like Khatulistiwa

I bought warrants at 32 sen

when it went down to 25 sen, I kept buying

average cost now 30 sen

no anger no frustration

just confidence and patience

where does my confidence come from ?

my confidence comes from knowing that even if Trop doesn't make a lot of money or doesn't do anything fantastic, the land bank it holds will appreciate year after year

for me, investing in Trop is like investing in land bank

land value never go down

they only go up

it is as safe as fixed deposit

(btw, I don't think Trop is a good buy. My investment is in Trop-WA. All I need is Trop WA to go up by 15 sen in 2 years (50% gain) and my return is better than FD already)

Icon8888, what u said is true. Asset rich company like Tropicana is very safe. The share price is below the the actual net worth. The current low share price is more due to the current poor sentiment about property sector and the investors ignorance on the real value of the company. When the sentiment improves, Tropicana will go back to its actual value..

Asset play is good, but cannot play too much

These stocks tend to be very slow

If you purely punt asset rich stocks, your portfolio will be like dinasour and cannot perform, while earning based stocks are helping others to make tonnes of money

Just take Calvin Tan as example

Icon8888, you are right that we need to choose wisely for investing in asset based investment. Some asset rich companies do not move for a long time because the major shareholders are too rich and not interested in making money from the fluctuations of its own share price. Some are too low profile and just let their share prices underpriced consistently. They don't bother about their rankings in the 40 richest men in Malaysia.
