Department stores in China are generally making loss now..Wanda Group, owned by the richest guy in China, was closed about 40 departments stores last month due to severe loses..so we cant expect the business recovery so soon...

I heard from other forums Parkson has many loyal Malay shoppers among their customers but not Chinese like i3 forumers. Since Malaysian has more Malays than Chinese nothing to be worried about Parkson sales.

Why when I visited Parkson last week and yesterday it was crowded with people? Perhaps 3.00 pm less people want to go shopping. More people will like to go shopping near lunch or dinner hour. Also possible is festival(Hari Raya Haji) just gone last week so drop in crowd(time also possible) is expected. When nearer Deepavali see crowd moving up again.

Anyway PRA(listed Parkson in M'sia) is the one Parkson will sell to PRGL.

If study last QR sales actually Parkson sales still up year on year. No wonder WC(or his subsidiaries) is willing to buy more from those who want to sell at 10 year lowest price.(cut loss for someone a wise move?)
