Adcool you should know Parkson better than most of us here since you bought long ago. Part of the money is used for shares buy back. Some are used to buy shopping malls to increase future income.
I have latest report than your so call "After reading through Parkson Holding Berhad 2015 Annual Report, I am very sceptical about the accuracy of Deposits, cash and bank balances as per Note 26."
Published QR is 4 mths ago. It is still valid in Nov'15 as at today? Between last QR and now how has major shareholder WC deal with his shares? Buy or sell more?
Latest filing in Oct'15 WC increased his stakes to 59.92% or 0.46% increase. If WC know Parkson result going to be worse or loss as ks55 claim will he buy more?

Another concern is the fact that Tan Sri pledged his shares to Banks. So is the share buyback exercised to protect the share price has any relation to the pledged shares?
Share buyback is ok. However if done excessively, it is questionable. Instead of using millions to buy back shares, Parkson should use the money for business purposes.
I will attend the AGM on 24 Nov to raise questions and exercise my right as shareholders. I hope others can attend also and speak at the AGM

Parkson was cash rich back in 2012. Yet the counter price dropped from rm5 to around Rm1 now. Cash rich doesn't mean share price would maintain or increase. PHB is a very good business case to reflect upon
Parkson RM1.06 is considered as the cheapest retail stock in the bursa. We are seeing restructuring and also changes of business strategy going on in Parkson. I believe parkson will rebound to at least RM1.50 - RM1.80 level in near future. Cash flow is strong , just need a little confidence and support from the shareholders.

Parkson only used up RM 267.427 million to buy back shares in FY 2015 not what liars ks55 wrote. If you follow ks55 wrote I can understand he doesn't know how to read AR.

You are right Mohd Iqbal. Tan Sri already used up 2.1 billion of PHB's money for his own agenda. i.e supporting PHB share price without due consideration for others. If you have followed the way he conduct share buy back, especially at 4.50pm during share buy back operation, you will acknowledge what I mean.
only use up RM 267.427 million to buy back shares in FY 2015 not RM 2.1 billion like what liars ks55 claim. Problems of i3 or social media nowadays like what PM Najib claim has many liars or conmen out to destroy nation or company.

Last year WC increased his stakes through shares buy back by 10%. As the price has dropped Parkson will require less money to carry out another 10% shares buy back(less than RM 150 million(assuming similar 116 million shares buy back) a year which is over RM 100 million less compare to FY 2015). Now WC own about 60% Parkson so if coming and next year shares buy back he will increase his stakes another 10% making Parkson possible privatization target as free float shares become lesser and lesser similar to what Kulim now have.
So if there is any people who want to sell Parkson at 80sen-90sen WC is even happier ie less than RM 100 million cash is needed to buy back similar 116 million shares to increase his stakes another 10%.
I am just defending Parkson. I am sure TTB is not stupid to hold so many Parkson shares. Is ks55 better than TTB? Where to find his name in newspaper or TV?
Besides TTB Icap, there are also Tabung Haji, EPF, GIC, Public Islamic(Public Mutual) holding million shares of Parkson besides WC. Are they dumber than ks55?
Meanwhile, in a separate filing, the external auditor of another loss-making steel manufacturer Lion Corp Bhd had said that the company might not be able to continue operation if it failed to renew or extend repayment of existing borrowings among others.
Ong Boon Bah & Co said Lion Corp incurred a net loss attributable to the owners of the company of RM523mil for the financial year ended June 30, 2015.
“In addition, as at June 30 up to the date of this report, certain borrowings and payables were not repaid in accordance with the scheduled payment dates,” it said.
Ong Boon Bah noted that Lion Corp had done certain measures to improve the group’s liquidity and financial position, and to “remediate” delayed repayments to lenders and creditors.
The audit firm said that it was unable to obtain sufficient and appropriate audit evidence in relation to the rationales of the assumption used to assess the group’s future profitability
Mr Parkson, don't u know William Cheng own Lion Corp and other subsidiaries under Lion Corp? And some of these subsidiaries are major shareholders in PHB? They need to liquidate their shares in order to pay back their debtors if require. All these years, PHB share price are in tandem with Lion Corp performance. Else why it has dropped from RM5 to RM1 even if it still making profit except for last quarter?
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
