From the last qr it is expected that this QR is going to be equally bad or worst. But depends if there is any announcements of new projects wins to improve sentiments. Most long term investors in this counter had already taken it into account.

Both Ata n SKP showed bad QR results last month, expecting VS be bad too. However, they only announced one out of 6 new contracts secured, have they secured new contracts and how soon they contribute?

Aiyah many people tend to overdiversify their portfolio. It all depends on your financial strength...but never diversify too much. When you bought VS or other stock...the first thing in your mind is how to further reduce your cost of capital. How to have a much higher Margin of Safety. During financial crisis what are the risks n its market capitalization. So try to reduce your cost of capital. You cannot depend on dividend...too slow...you must depend on capital appreciation. We don't know when financial crisis will strike. At present it's still...Bull/Bear...60/40 odds. But we never know...all these macro-economic fundamental changes very fast. So please think of downside first...think of your financial safety first... before you ever think of capital gains. In the long run when your Investing thesis is on the right track...your capital appreciation will come gradually from dividend, bonus, n capital gains. Don't diversify too much...only look out for wonderful or excellent business selling at a reasonable or better still an undervalued price. "Price is what you pay...value is what you get," Buffett.

Well...what is wonderful business... it's a sunrise or defensive industry, sales n earnings growth prospects is sustainable n Uptrending gradually, Profit margins are usually above average around 8%... retained earnings, cash flow, and cash n equivalent are increasing year by year. Dividend plus other benefits also increase gradually. Debts are reducing plus the company seldom or never have to borrow much, plus negligible preferred share n private placement. Occasionally share buyback, its book value also increase gradually. Capital expenses is below 25% of cash from operations, plus depreciation n amortization are below 10%. That's its owner earnings is increasing year on year. Owner earnings is free cash flow in Uncle's Buffet investment thesis. Good luck n have a nice weekend. TQ.

Well...you just analyse probably around less than 50 companies in BURSA...these are almost the good companies...the rest are probably below average. But industry can change very fast...always read financial reports n business development n dynamic at least once a year for defensive business n every three months for technology, dynamic n cyclical business. Never take for granted your investment portfolios even though you invest in a defensive types of businesses. Learn more and know what is your Investing appetite...n stick to your own Investing mental models. Good luck to you...!!!
