FUND Managers don't buy illiquid shares

But fun managers do...:-)

luckily last month closed my eyes and buy some of it at 6...althou according to my own analysis it's really undervalued due to such a low PE, but seriously never think that it can shoot up that much!

The cheapest furniture stock in Bursa thus far!
At RM 7.10, PE 9,57
Liihen RM 5.86 ( 11.25)
Pohuat RM 2.70 ( 10.43)
Homeritz RM 1.15 (16.7)
Hevea RM 1.13 ( 12.4)
Sign RM 2.85 ( 8.36) ---> Not fully a furniture stock

If u take average PE of 10, Latitude must worth a minimum of RM 7.43 ( Based on EPS 74.3Sen)

These are not good companies, not to the extent that Mr Koon has invested so much money into them.

They are just companies coming off from very low base.

The misunderstanding may have gone too far..

Local furniture companies were trading at very low prices because local furniture industry is a sunset industry due to shortage of rubberwood. Do you still see rubber plantations in Malaysia?

The low prices have made all the FA numbers looked ok and were mistaken as good.

This gentleman obviously did not know what he was writing on..

Posted by kcchongnz > Dec 28, 2014 05:18 PM | Report Abuse

Does Homeritz uses rubber wood for its furniture production???

Very surprised and disappointed that you have written such a long writeup on local furniture companies but don't even know their main raw material is rubberwood...

well, we re here to make money, not to complain why we cannot survive with rm10 daily in Malaysia.

Twice a week, i would reward n nutrient myself with Sushi and Austrialian streak, to get good quality of protein and omega 3, so i can make more money in the market.

Nvr drink chicken essence, it is a very low quality source of protein

i agree we hv to chg our diet system, in this modern world, we re no longer labour intensive but brain intensive, so what we need is more protein less carbohydrates.

Unfortunately, our food didnt change much from 50yrs ago. Popular foods are still nasi lemak, char key tiow, satay, curry chicken.......

the dishes are so heavy seasoned that u will draw alot of rice into mouth.

but quality protein doesnt come cheap, mostly are imported, u know la our ringgit, so u must treat the food u eat as an invesment rather than expenses.

some might say, u eat so good for what, what we poop in the end is the samething.

Ya, poops are the same, but we dun eat poops.

Companies with net profit margin of 30%? How many are there?
KB Yap is claiming a company with a circa Eps of 80 cents is no good?

Probably has the mentality of Tan Teong Boo, that buys only if market crashes that is one every decade.

Lim, you have not answered my questions posted and continue to be arm chair investor.
Banking shares like AFG and CIMB, do you know what is their present and future eps?
Warren Buffet nvest in companies with eps of at least $2? How many companies in Malaysia earns eps of rm2? One? None? And what is the price of shares with eps of $2?
Net profit of 75 Mil strong company? If you have paid up capital like FGV, is that strong? Latitude has less than 100 Mil shares compared to 5 Bil shares in FGV.
Earning comparisons are made on similar Qs, not consecutive Qs. So it 2nd Q this year against last year to reflect a clearer and fairer picture of its business.
US currency appreciation is bad for importing companies, not net exporting companies.
US ecomony slowing down? Go learn more about economics before you come and give any lectures here.

Who said summer is peak season for furniture and year end is weak ?

It is the other way

Summer is slow. Year end strong because festivities seasons

The coming two quarters are traditionally best quarters for export stocks

FGV is a commodity stock. All hard commodities(iron ore, nickel, copper etc) and soft commodities(soyabean, palm oil, rubber etc) are all time low. All commodities currencies like Canadian, South African Rand, Australia(holiday in Aussie is good now) are also very low. Gold price is 5 yr low. Oil price are now below $50 per barrel. What does it tells us about the world economy. Commodity boom was on a 10 yr uptrend boom when China growth. The downtrend will take some time to play out.
A strong US dollars is not necessarily bad for US. It is not an exporting country that requires low labour to compete. Consumers form 70% of US GDP, so a strong dollars in fact give them more purchasing power.

back to topic, my let go level of latitude would be from pe10 till pe15. Pe 10 let go 20%, Pe 15 let go all, and then also look at the wind of market.

they order few months before year end. Now is more or less the time the orders picked up and deliver strong results

u can have a different opinion, doesn't bother us

we got our facts right, we pocket tonnes of profit from furniture stocks. You got your facts wrong, you miss the opportunity

that is how stock market works

Christmas is in December, I believe your buyers order the furnitures to sell in Christmas and I believe they do not order furnitures on Christmas day to sell on Christmas day, think before you talk.
