years ago the NTA was close to $1. It's been burning cash till now. If oil price don't recover to ~$100, it'll be difficult.

I knew NTA was below share price all these while. But looking at the NTA going down for years, I avoid.

Winmal is correct!

Precisely Scomi Energy share price is so undervalue and neglected that it caught my attention

1. Scomies has high net assets still listed at ancient book value
The 5 storey shophouses in Petaling Jaya has a book value of only Rm170k.

If revalued it should be Rm4 millions to Rm5 millions today.

2. It has Rm67 millions cash after considering it's borrowings were hedged by asset backing

3. It has Rm50 millions lent to Scomi

4. And it secured a fresh rm610 millions job from Kuwait

All these point to a very grossly overlooked and undervalue gem

How could Calvin miss?

last 2 years scomies has writen off huge amount of asset, on the advice of fair value accounting basis just because o&g slow down.. that contributes to low NTA

AND 2 property real estate assets have a "blank" value?

One 5 storey shophouses in Selangor with freehold status and total built up area of 11,000 sq ft has an amazing low value of Rm170k

A 5 Storey shops for Rm170k. For that price you can't even get a low cost house now in pj

Scomies assets are freehold lands, freehold industriand lands, freehold shophouses

These freehold lands are near Sepang Airport still at Old book value

Whereas Alam Martin has no property assets. Its assets are in the open sea and under the sea for more than 5 to 10 years
Horrible exposure to seawater and the elements for so many idle years when Petronas never give jobs

So the assets of Scomies are superior and of immense value now

This is the 1st line of defense

Assets can be sold and use to pay debts
Assets can also be sold and use as capital
Assets can also be converted to cash and be given back as cash payout to shareholders

AND this was what Scomies did

Scomies gave an 18.5 sen cash payout not too long ago
