abit disappointed that this counter didnt go up... thought can break 1.80... but nvm, be positive... after bonus issue still have 6 cents div.. taking into simple calculation, with current price of RM1.75, if buy 1 lot, cost you RM1,750 with RM60 div, give you 3.4% return (60/1750). If with bonus then will be 3.7%. Based on trend, there will be another div of approximate 5 cents in Dec. Return is about double of FD..
KingKongsi, the dividend 6cents will be calculate based on your holding share qty. example if you hold 1000unit share, so you entitle to get 0.06*1000= RM60 of dividend. the dividend only entitle to you after the ex date (pls check the dividend ex date through bursa malaysia website). and the $$ will only paid to you (through banking or cheque) during pay date.
If you are investing big, those dividend returns could be substantial. Reinvesting them would yield the powerful return of compound interest. For small investors, dividends bring down your average price per share and increase your chances of selling them for profit in the long run.
i have bought considerably large volume of Uchitec to neutralize my overall portfolio.. some of my shares are growing shares and may be higher risk (but may give higher return) so I need some "play safe" counter... so i chose Uchi
feiloh, it is actually a good news to Uchitec as these sales (even though in Europe) are denominated in USD. USD will further strengthen due to weaker Pound and Euro... today itself USD has strengthened from 4.03 to 4.11 now... please see Uchi Q1 2016 report comments below:
Revenue in RM and Operating Profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 increased by 20% and 16% to RM30.6 million and RM13.5 million respectively as compared to the quarter ended March 31, 2015 (Revenue: RM25.6 million; Operating Profit: RM11.6 million) mainly due to appreciation of USD against Ringgit Malaysia during the reporting quarter.
That means uchitec relies quite heavily on USD revenue...
The raising USD will drive up the value of Uchitec's future revenue. Brexit doesn't mean the demolish of Europe as a whole, and Uchitec business in Europe still have its niche. So business as usual.
yeah, i agree with batman 11... Brexit selldown is more like a market sentiment/over panick by the investors (or more likely the speculators)... unless more and more EU countries decided to leave EU and EU has eventually dissolved, otherwise Brexit itself would not have too much impact on global business... UK GDP may drop slightly as it wont enjoy the tax-free items from other EU countries, thus delimit the sales (and maybe those EU countries who have a lot of business with UK may also be affected a bit) but other than that, the impact is minimal.
Yeap, the impact is totally outside of Malaysia. Uchitec business with, I.e., Bosch has no relevance with the current UK changes. As the USD may rise, we expect Uchi's current contract gain would increase by value. The EURO currency would increase in value too when the industries, in the worst scenario move back to Europe.

This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
