Shorties are big customers of local IB. The big commission/high lending interest earned from private lending to shorties had forced them write bad on glove stocks.

This TA IB is very.irresponsible and unprofessional. When he wrote the report more than 3 months ago , he recommended a buy call with TP of 6.07 . That time the stock price is at about 5 . Those who read his report will buy when the price came down to 3 or 4 plus. Now.he asked those who bought after listening to him to sell even though the last QR result was within.his expectation. Just because he downgraded the TP from 6.07 to 2.71 , he asked peoples to cut loss after listening to him buy high and sell low.

A coronavirus variant first detected in South Africa 'could be more infectious' than other mutations and have the potential to 'evade vaccines', scientists have said.

The C.1.2 strain, which is linked to 'increased transmissibility', is more mutations away from the original virus seen in Wuhan, experts at South Africa's National Institute for Communicable Diseases and the KwaZulu-Natal Research Innovation and Sequencing Platform said.

The virus was first identified by scientists in South Africa in May and has since been found in England, China, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mauritius, New Zealand, Portugal and Switzerland.

In their study scientists found the strain, which descends from the C.1 strain that was first spotted amid the first wave of the pandemic, has a mutation rate of about 41.8 mutations per year.

This rate is nearly double the current global mutation rate seen in any other Variant of Concern (VOC) so far.

Even don't buy glove stocks, u also get infected and died. Always remember gloves are used to protect health care workers and prevent of infection. The usage of high bc above reasons. Even without the pandemic, gloves will expected to grow at slower rate but still 10 to 15% per year.

PJSeow, you are correct about TA Analyst but unfortunately he is not alone. Many Analyst (CIMB, RHB) randomly change ASP, Capacity, Utilisation Assumptions to arrive at desired Target pricing with no accountability. The movement in TP over the last year is shocking for all glove companies.
It is unfortunate there appears to be no governance and regulation within the banks to control this.

Prices and ratings are always colluded to the rich’s interest, until they done accumulated or distributed then only the prices or ratings can be reflected properly
Gloves was generating profit before covid, and it will continue to do so even after covid, we can’t short but we can long good stocks lo time is on our side, nothing goes down forever

Do you all notice these 2 quarters, the dividends are called "special dividends"?. I believe there should be a final dividend to be announced either in October or November 2021 based on their history. Total so far is about 22%, hence hopefully we may get some bumper final dividend soon.
