I don't agree with sardine previously mentioned knm price went down because of idss.if not mistaken bursa suspended idss since early this year .sardine you just admit yr mistake.everyone make mistake in include me not hard feelings .
sardin still around ? good lord, he and his obsession with Borsig, to be honest, i made a good profit here last time, some of you may remember me, i think bojed might as well, the thing is, sardin's obsession with Borsig, and his idss theories really made me roll my eyes to infinity, i am not saying he's bad, but he get carried away too much with that Borsig thing, and to make things worse, there was a scumbag by the name paktua annoying others around here, and that fella was a total douchebag, last i saw him getting screwed up in Bintai, hope he's gone for good
anyway,if you people want to invest, do your own research, don't simply believe what's being posted online, sometimes the syndicates use the opportunity to cause unnecessary panic in order to get tickets at a cheaper price
World class company selling at lelong price now and see which group of investors able to control it... 4.9%× 4 will have almost 20% control of KNM which own 100% of Borsig ++ cheers!!
almost 20% drop again ....wondering will this trend continue ....some say buying KNM like buying 4D rarely up but mostly down, down and down.....past 2 years its only for short term players ...slight up most traders sell ....then they buy again ...trend continues like this for so long,,,,,will this trend continue ??
@RedEmperor Macdee34 The Edge shows MAA is just the front man for the LSE family
Proof is in the Edge 13 september article. It is a very clear message to the shareholders. You don't think the Edge wrote this do you? It is paid propaganda. Pledging votes, private side deal for shares from LSE to MAA, overwhelming inside information about the company thrown in the public eyes to undermine company activities. MAA/LSE not control anything unless we let them. They don't have enough without another side deal fund raising event like the last one we stopped before they diluted us by 30%. The article is very clear, message received and understood. But, we shareholders have been fooled before. Not any more.
MacDee34 , don’t simply accused anyone without the proof... You know before got one case recently in a forum a person write an article and then he getting sue by a company... So, please give the link to proof it !
MAA Group emerges as KNM’s substantial shareholder Sulhi Khalid/theedgemarkets.com September 02, 2021 19:45 pm +08
KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 2): MAA Group Bhd has emerged as a substantial shareholder of KNM Group Bhd, after acquiring a 7.01% stake in the latter yesterday. In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, MAA said it bought the stake, comprising 233 million shares, in an open market transaction for RM52.89 million, or an average of 22.7 sen per share. MAA said the purchase was made with internally generated funds and represented a good opportunity to buy at a low price relative to KNM’s net assets per share of 53 sen.
According to the group’s website, MAA is involved in general insurance in the Philippines, education services, hire purchase, leasing, SME debt factoring and other credit facilities, advisory and consultancy services of hotel management, operators of hotels, F&B, operators of short-term property accommodation, logistics and dispatch, as well as property management, design and renovation. Meanwhile, KNM is mainly involved in project management, engineering, manufacturing and construction for the renewable energy, power, utilities, refining and petrochemical industries. “The total number of issued shares of KNM is 3.32 billion units of shares as per KNM’s Bursa announcement dated Aug 19, 2021. “The Investment was also based on good underlying prospects within the KNM Group subsidiaries, coupled with improved oil prices recently that will spur the industry outlook for the sector KNM operates in. “Based on KNM’s audited consolidated financial statements for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2020, the KNM group of companies recorded a profit after taxation of RM56.57 million and net assets of RM1.78 billion,” the filing said. Previously in June this year, MAA proposed to acquire a 57.78% stake in Turiya Bhd from Ithmaar Bank BSC for RM23.8 million, in a bid to extend a mandatory takeover offer on the machinery and chemicals manufacturer. The group proposed to acquire 132.15 million Turiya shares from Ithmaar Bank at 18 sen per share. It also intends to maintain Turiya's listing status on Bursa Malaysia. However, Empire Holdings Bhd, which is Turiya's largest shareholder, was granted an injunction by the High Court to restrain MAA Group from taking any further action in relation to the acquisition until further orders from the court. Shares in MAA closed five sen or 0.70% higher to 72 sen today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM188.57 million. Since the beginning of the year, the stock has fallen by 5.26%. Meanwhile, shares in KNM Group finished five sen or 1.79% lower to 28 sen, valuing the company at RM895.81 million. Year to date, the stock has risen by 25%.
Thanks MacDee34 for posting the article. I have a good read but can't agree with your opinion. MAA simply says that LSE being another sizeable shareholder would surely want to throw his support for MAA to bring KNM forward.
Macdee you can read or understand English not? They didn't say MAA is front man what stand for LSE.!!! MAA just being respect polite saying good thing about LSE cos he is founder of KNM after all. It doesn't mean LSE is behind MAA!!! Real dum dum.
Article in the Edge 9/13 is titled 'KNM-a new chapter or asset stripping' by Adam Aziz. Nowhere is there any mention of MAAG fronting for LSE family. Anyone who knows MAAG's Tunku Yaacob can tell you he is a corporate player himself with a mixed record of success over two decades. Asset stripping, particularly hiving off Borsig, is therefore a strong possibility. Fronting for LSE family is definitely off.
in the article he also mentioned KNM is talking to the german buyer... its mean KNM is going to sell the whole Borsig? Borsig is a jewel, after selling Borsig, what is knm values? hm........
Haiyaa..main point is ask German to invest KNM shares.... Use big diamond Borsig to seduce them. If earn alot also can sell... Sell then buy again.... with Borsig such a long KNM should learn a lot of experience from Borsig German.
KNM is a good buy in my view. As long as there is no "controlling" shareholders to manipulate the company with self interest. Clearly MAA and LSE are working together. This is not a good sign.
The Edge says to me that MAA is just the front for the LSE family. We kicked LSE and related parties out before. Let's not let them back in. MAA has its own legal problems under investigation according to reports. We need to keep LSE out, which means MAA can not take power or be on the BOD. Thank you Edge for exposing the truth about MAA and LSE.
