The Energy Commission of Malaysia (EC) has issued a Request for Proposal (RfP) document hoping to auction up to 460MWac of large-scale solar capacity.

Under EC’s second competitive bidding programme, it hopes to awards projects of 1-30MW capacity to make up a total of 360MW in Peninsular Malaysia and 100MW in Sabah and Labuan in the East.

All solar plants will be connected to the grid, with power purchase agreements to be signed with the main utilities Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) or Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd. (SESB).

The RfP document was made available last week and the deadline for submissions is 1 August 2017.

Taiwan solartech Feb'17 sale still bad. http://en.solartech-energy.com/invest/report-mon.aspx?Y=2017 so TS solar 1Q sale can't be much better either.

Unless NSP make big compensation to TS solar for taking back the equipments (say compensation of more than 15 million) otherwise negative result for TS solar 1Q 2017 is very much a certainty.

But bear in mind that the said compensation will be the last one from NSP, after that no more and TS solar has to stand on its own feet bracing the solar storm.

u are right, skyrider. Last Q showed plant n equip drop drastically, which mean most of NSP plant had shifted out. So Q1 may b the last time compensate.

Oil price moving up this year means raw materials for Tekseng's pvc products will be increased so less profit. Solar pv is already went bust. Next quarter will be bad. Where is vivoviva?

i bought at 0.620@5k and still holding. Institutional investor push small investors in the last 15 mins today. i alredy gave you the signal, its all up to you. Pessimist people like m16s, cause many people afraid to enter when the time is right, well..the best time to enter is when people is full of doubt amiright? (im looking at you M16s). It is only normal and nature if Tekseng falls to 58/59 sen then rebounds to 81/82 sen
