Is very straight forward only, if solar market recover then ts will do well again and share will back to rm1 again. when it will happen nobody will know. if u cant hold then just sell..... is just like oil market, when will oil price recover nobody will know.
Hi M16s, my average cost is 0.88 so now already making loss about 36%. From cut loss viewpoint I shall sell now and move to other better reward counter. But like what Dizzyshin says, it depends on confidence recovery on solar market. I still feel TS will recover by end of this FY, and that's main reason I hold until today. I don't have business sense same as KYY, but from my analysis of this latest QR, I still think TS FA is recovering except solar performance.
Hi Patrick. Thanks for willing to share ur view. With the current price, are you going to top up? 0.88 is hard to recover. Perhaps average down to 0.7 plus ?
I bought tekseng highest at 1.4 average cost is 1.31. I cut loss when it was 0.96 making a loss of 27% last november, and I switched the funds to Magni and Oka.
This was the decision I made that time, and no regret today.
Hi M16s, I wont top up anytime soon. I will see how until next QR. If second quarter result still not good, it can conclude saying that FY2017 is gone already.
Hi Ginvin, thanks for your sharing. You are great as you are making the right move. Honest speaking it is really difficult to me to make cut-off decision at this moment. I need to relook TS AR 2016, 1st quarter result and solar market outlook again to re-assess my decision.
TS is the biggest disappointment after the so called solar frency. price drop after the ill timed line closing at bukit minyak, penang. from the start it's was PR disaster. price drop 1.20 till now . never recover
If you ask me when will reach 0.70 interval, I would say two and the half months from now. U will ask why right? then u need to study the market well, then u know why.
after all the retailers cashout ( or trim their losses ) most counters will stage a mini techincal rebounce ( just before Raya ). just my personal view
is very simple only, u only cut loss when u think the company is no good and will not recover. i feel ts still has potential, just need wait for solar market to recover.
I also hope solar market will recover one day, but I don't know when, possible 1 yr or 10yr. Some are like to wait , some will move on their investment journey. You can not expect different result if you repeat the same thing. What you do today , will be the result of tomorrow. I do not mean you should sell or you should buy. Finally, you have to make your own choice. Good luck.
a. TS 2nd factory is ready but idle or empty due to bad market condition and no investor coming in. Meaning current run rate maybe only 3 or 4 lines out of the total capacity of 10 line. b. Old technology - TS only has traditional technology and the solar cell efficiency is lower compare to those China & Taiwan giants with latest PERC technology. c. Taiwan Solartech only invest 2 production line in TS and no intention for further investment or technology upgrade at this moment. d. Solar cell price keep on coming down due to market over supply. Making situation getting worst. e. US anti dumpling / anti subsidy towards Taiwan is being revise to less than 5% for Taiwan Solartech - no point to further invest in TS due to low tax rate. f. Most of the China/Taiwan Giant now have factories in Msia (Jinko, JA Solar), Thailand (Trina) & Vietnam to avoid US anti dumpling/anti subsidy tax. g. Big fish will be getting bigger & bigger. Small fish can survive?
Don't waste time over here...there is allot good opportunity for other counters at this moment.... Solar would not easy to recover in short period unless the oil price shoot up drastic....
I agree that solar market demand is starting to recover now, but the selling price is still consider as low. Unless TS managed to cut cost or re-allocate cost, otherwise dun enter this counter first if you dun have long-time holding power.
