”KUALA LUMPUR (Apr1): Classic Scenic Bhd. (CSCENIC, 7202, Main Board Consumer Stock) announced that its subsidiary has completed the acquisition of a new wooden photo frame and mould manufacturing plant in Bidor, Perak for a total value of RM12.5 million.
The company reported to the exchange on Friday that the acquisition included a land area of about 520,000 square feet and a plant area of 230,000 square feet, and was acquired with internal company funds. The managing director said that the acquisition not only increases the group's installed capacity from the current 32 million feet per year to 48 million feet but also accelerates the company's business.
"The group intends to allocate a capital expenditure of RM2 million to upgrade the manufacturing plant facilities and acquire new woodworking machinery and equipment, which is expected to contribute positively to the group's bottom line."
