I am wondering just how many of these foreign workers employed by ATA IMS that human rights activist Andy Hall claimed to be subjected to forced labor by the company. If systemic forced labor practices are being placed upon majority of these foreign workers, then i really hv nothing to say here but instead recommend immediate drastic and maximum punishment to be made upon this company. But then if Andy is really fighting for just a few (considered bad apples which are bound to exist), it wud sound rather ridiculous and shud not hv happened in the first place. Is it worth it?...the first thing the company management is going to undertake is retrenchment of all these foreigner workers wthr they like it or not due to loss of business,
Confirm lar this ataims con business man, abuse workers to make more money, don’t think anyone want to deal with these shit Singaporean owners Come to our country abuse workers
Good ... Another wake up call for factories/manufacturers to stop exploit of workers. Boss always exploit worker ...cos more profits. our NGO are sleeping . Authorities all sleeping . or our standards so low ? all come down to Cash is King in Msia.
it seems that this company depends on DYson business. MOre than 50% of its business comes from DYson... the current price is still high.... it will go lower than RM0.50 .
You think Businessman are too free to exploit workers, they are here to earn money. I think the too free man are those western foreigners are not hardworking and come out with a term of democracy lah, forced labour lah...lazy people.
Very sad to hear that Ataims foreign worker was beaten at police station in Johor, it is the Malaysian.. police who abused the Ataims worker not Ataims even Ataims official reported him by disclosing forced labour allegations
Question is our Malaysian police should respect human rights whether he is locals or foreign workers, so Dyson should ask his government to protest against Malaysian police abuse foreigners not just terminate the contract, should have a royal inquiries..
When we have poor government, majority of people & the economy of whole country suffer ie. Negative international image, loss of talent & competitiveness, loss of foreign investors, loss of jobs, poor Bursa performance compare to other countries etc. If the government is good, there will be good & fair policies for the companies & the stakeholders including manpower. If there is malpractice, It could be proper enforcement to keep the damages to the minimum, but, sadly, this is not the case. There are many complex issues involved & the major shareholder n the management of ATA also bear big responsibility unable to resolve the problems in-time. It is much regretted that a good company's share price could dropped so drastically in a short period of time & broke the hearts of many investors.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
