Perhaps the only way is to make poor foreigners happy is to pay and treat them better than our locals in order to stop them complaining to ILO / Andy Hall for forced labour allegations etc...
KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 26): SKP Resources Bhd's net profit fell 9% to RM40.12 million for its second quarter ended Sept 30, 2021, from RM44.07 million a year earlier, as its operational capacity was affected by lockdown restrictions.
Earnings per share declined to 2.57 sen from 2.82 sen last year, the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider's bourse filing showed.
Quarterly revenue dropped 23.8% to RM553.74 million, from RM726.31 million in the same quarter last year.
Happy news to SKP to get more orders transferring from ATA
so its true, workers shortage is an industry wide issue and ATA was the first to report that. what difference does it make if SK or VS receives transfer orders from Dyson - they would die standing trying to fulfill Dyson’s orders and will exploit their labor even more..
Forced Labor allegation on Oil Palm Sector - No much effect. The west use little Palm Oil Products and No Brand. Forced Labor allegations on Gloves - Maybe 50% effect cause gloves can be diverted to other markets and also not really branded. Forced Labor allegations on EMS or Chip manufacturing or Furniture will have 100% effect. You manufacture for only a handful of Brands. Easy to hurt you. YOU THINK THE FOREIGN LABOR IN CONSTRUCTION AND SERVICE INDUSTRY GET BETTER CONDITIONS THAN THOSE IN THE MANUFACTURING SECTOR? I DOUBT. THE FOREIGN LABOR IN GLOVE SECTOR GET THE BEST CONDITIONS, YET THE ALLEGATIONS. OUR GOVT NEED TO STOP THIS ANDY HALL NONSENSE. HE IS MOST LIKELY WORKING WITH SOME FUNDS THAT ARE SHORTING THE MKT. ALL SECTORS HIT ARE THOSE DOING WELL IN TERMS OF SHARE PRICE PERFORMANCE
see how Malaysia Government is going to fight against these ANDY HALL who has influences over US & UK & Europe.
Andy Hall is now giving instructions to Dyson, Malaysia Government to follow his orders to act to SAVE those to be removed by ATA in the consequence of Termination of Contract by Dyson.
Nothing direct statement by Malaysia Government yet.
So long these Direct Confrontation in between Andy Hall, Dyson and Malaysia Government be happening, ATA as a poor victim (continue to find ways to resolve Forced Labour Issues) shall remain in silence mood to pump up production for Dyson.
Never ever think of legal matters against Dyson.
Andy Hall is going to take legal action against Dyson in UK (I am aware of the presence of concerning and seemingly defamatory statements made by Dyson against me, solely in relation to my well-intentioned and independent advocacy on work and living conditions at ATA, concerning which I continue to seek legal advice in the UK.)
Ang Mo against Ang Mo may be just a show, our pathetic investors in Bursa, in ATA and other listed companies carried big brands are in trouble.
Omicron may be hurting the world economy again and now Dow crashed more than 1000 points over night. Next week only see mother cry father cry sceneries here lor...
150million share are queuing, dont try your luck and gambling this share first. Losing 30% per day is not a joke. Drop is easy, but climb back will take few month or years.
Monday be in between 0.52 to 0.82 or stay at 0.52..Dow crashed has no effect to ATA price of 0.52. per oskchoon
Monday is T + 2 day for those who bought from 1.12 - 1.28 Tuesday is T + 2 day for those who bought from 0.82 - 1.27 Wednesday T + 2 day ?? what if cannot sell on Monday and Tuesday ???
Malaysia Government direct statement to Andy Hall, Dyson to help ATA is most important now, or Bursa helps to SUSPENSE ATA as too severe impact to Malaysia companies employing thousands of foreign workers. Buy times to cool down the events.
@goodiewilly. Ang Mo is like that particularly if politics is involved/have ill intentions to meet their private ends. Ang Mo said a donkey is a horse, what can you do ? As western countries especially USA is in control of media propaganda.
That is why i was wondering why Bursa wanted to introduce RSS. Shortists are just opportunists/gamblers and not real investors. If Bursa said the introduction of RSS is to increase liquidity in the market, in my opinions, i would said it should be the other way round. RSS would short away your money from ppl out of the country (money outflow). If Bursa wanted to increase liquidities in the market should attract foreign investors with attractive terms but unfortunately most of the time are out of Bursa's control like the 51% Bumiputra stake in logistics would hurt away the investors.
Curry chicken, Rendang children, mutton, lembu lar, etc etc all kind of indian food n drinks are served to Ang Mo..parties lar, wine lar etc etc .. The indian man has served Ang Mo for years, from a production supervisor to become ED, from a poor guy become multi millionair, major shareholder under margin account. He treats Ang Mo like dad n mom..how Dyson comes in. I am thinking if margin call comes in, will he be like SerbaDinamik boss, cheap cheap sales n no stop.
Downgrade to Reduce; losses projected for FY22-24F We slash our FY22F-24F EPS forecasts and now project ATA to be loss-making for the next three years as it will be operating on diseconomies of scale following the loss of its key customer. We anticipate a gradual ramp-up of output for its US-based crafting customer, but have not imputed other new customers into our forecasts. While ATA could fill up its capacity with orders from new customers, it might face obstacles in obtaining new customers given the labour allegations. In light of its negative earnings, we downgrade ATA to a Reduce, with a lower TP of RM0.29. We now value ATA using P/NTA methodology with 0.6x P/NTA given that the bulk of its assets were built up for Dyson. We also ascribe an additional 20% ESG discount to our valuation premised on the potential risks to its social reputation from the labour allegations.
KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 27): The police said on Saturday (Nov 27) they will look into a claim a factory worker of Dyson supplier ATA IMS Bhd was beaten at its station but that they had not received any formal complaints. British home appliance maker Dyson told Reuters that it was ending its contract with ATA after an audit of the company's labour practices and allegations by a whistle-blower.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
