As the biggest land owner with 9,000 acres of land, major property overhang in Johor is a big concern. HSR project supposed to be a saving grace for UEM. The merger benefits UEM more than EcoWorld as it can tap into its expertise in building community centric townships
@kinuxian. be careful lor of this eco, the boss may gift a right issue for everyone to reduce the debts, as the bailout failed. i myself really scare of eco oledi, only my personal view larh......
@kinuxian. the current govt is doing nothing on covid n the economy. i expect a bad time ahead in the next 1 or 2 yrs ahead. just be alert with the market, anything wrong just RUN!!!
Ecowld has reduced its gearing/borrowing over the years. As the co. is not over geared and was able to generate consistent profit/cash flow to repay and reduce its loan is a good sign.
Uems has more land bank than Ecowld in Johor. Uems landbank was bought at much lower PSF costs price compare to Ecowld . I think Uems is still a better bet in terms of valuation
The reason for the merge of course need the dilute the debts with the merger means ecoworld is seriously in debt now due to current covid 19 situation.
