Ekovest is very cheap now compared to other counters. Very obvious there are operators who are blocking the rise of the price and trying collect it cheap. Buy it or just hold. The block will be removed after enough fools selling it at low price and they clean up those poor people.

This is actually good news. It will force Ekovest to push forward the listing of their highway assets. This has been delayed for a very long time. Note that Duke 3 is shared with KWSP.

Had chit chat with my friend.. regarding the news on the Duke 3 issues...we read the article about the Duke 3.. the time frame is one year plus and Duke is share between Ekovest and kwsp and in planning for listed as option therefore the concern is no valid.. Ekovest is midst acquire the Johor land at nearby RTS which will expect complete on oct 2024.

new share by my friend.. not sure is true or not.. heard ekovest going to focus and development on the johor...looking the recent disposal on the KL land to LSH.. and merge between IWCITY and other company.. they are plan for major development on the Johor for coming 2025 align with complete RTS Dec 2026.

Duke 3 is not shared with KWSP. It is wholly owned by Ekovest. Only Duke 1 and 2 is shared with KWSP. @investomy

But what you say about listing to raise cash to reduce debt is true, this can push them to list earlier to reduce debt for the highway.

Duke 3, which is wholly owned by Ekovest, is the concessionaire for the 32km Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway that connects the Middle Ring Road 2 at Wangsa Maju to Kerinchi Link adjoining the Federal Highway.
Back in January 2016, the company struck a 53.5-year concession agreement with the government, with the right to extend by 6.5 years if the highway does not achieve the projected internal rate of return.
The government has also helped Ekovest with a RM560 million interest-free advance to cover the first eight years of interest payments during the highway gestation period, in exchange for no toll hikes during a period of the concession.

Some other measures could include a potential asset monetisation and the potential entrance of a new equity partner.
Duke 3 only started tolling on Dec 3, 2023, which was three years later than the original forecast date due to considerable delays in project completion following changes in alignment and pandemic-induced restrictions. The company expects some compensation payout from the government arising from the delays.
Nevertheless, MARC thinks the sukuk restructuring may be viable in view of Duke 3’s long concession period until Aug 5, 2069.
