Nobody will know what will happen tomorrow, neither do analysts. What they can do is to analyse the fundamentals of the business and the future earnings prospect of the company. Then they stamp in their target price. However, Mr. Market doesn't necessary follow the fundamentals and can sometimes be moody and thus the share price can go the other way without any reason.
I am more concerned if the analysts put a SELL purely because the stock price has gone down and then put a BUY purely because the stock price has went up. If that is the case, anyone can be an analyst.
As an investor, analyst reports should only be used as a guide for insights about the business and its future earnings prospect, which some of those information can be difficult to obtain by retail investors like myself. That's all.
the announcements of substantial shareholders is delayed. the announcement made yest, but actually the funds have already made their move last week. try observe their transaction dates. we can never outdo these big players. all trapped. lets hope for a better Q2 report to boost things up
Q2 earning announcement sometime this week. stay tuned! hoping for some positive catalyst to push the price up. it's been awhile since we are trapped here... can't wait to escape!
ask yourself this question...which one is more delicious?oldtown char kuey tiao or penang char kuey tiao??and who is more cheaper??and the number of people between rich and poor
hopefully F&B generates more revenue this quarter due to year end holidays season and next quarter got CNY, i'm not sure about KL, the shopping malls seems quieter than normal, road also lesser cars nowadays, consumer spending sentiment has trim down a lot.
RHB and Maybank were making a Buy call with TP 2.00 but at one point on 1/12/14, it dropped to its day lowest odd 1.50. How much more it will drop before we can start to buy?
i start not to read analyst reports already. there is a chinese saying "human also them, ghost also them". they can syiok syiok revise PER at their own justification. regardless the company has increased earnings or not, they can easily spread positive or negative propaganda. well, you can read their analysis of the company direction and strategy but TPs.... hmmm...
I resort to a very primitive method of picking counters...1) pE below 15 for last 5 yrs. 2) min. Div yld of 2.5 percent for 5 yrs. 3) steady growth of revenue . 4)min. Percent profit margin more than 8 percent to make sure co not making Susah money. All above can be checked within minutes on stok biz.
how do you account for the dips in almost all the other counters? Franklin Resources does not appear in all hundreds of small caps counters in the stock market okay. the drop is mainly due to the negative sentiment from falling crude oil prices and uncertainty in Malaysia's economy strength in the upcoming year.
