good biz but too complicated to understand

read the quarter report or annual report also pening with plenty of special items and plenty of accounting items that not easy to understand

so we as ikan bilis difficult to predict its future prospect

wanted to buy due to its strong biz but opening with its financial report....too many special accounting items, exceptional items that will affect the profit that we don't know and hard to predict

The centrepiece of IHH's strategy is Turkey. It was before the turmoil in Turkey n Lira. A few years down the road, what are the prospect of IHH business in Turkey? Recurring forex losses.
It is a tightly held by Khazanah n when it drops drastically, EPF is seen buying in like other GLCs.

Problem is now if you buy IHH is already at the high end price range

You see the PE

If you buy few years back during the IPO, then its good to hold until you 60 years old but now buy in is consider expensive

Now the price range stuck at that range, unless have new plan that can grow its profit, if now now all the goods stuff have been already price in the share price already.

Turkey woes hit IHH

News broke that IHH is facing some hiccups to proceed with the plan to acquire Fortis Healthcare Ltd.

Last Thursday, it was reported on the Nikkei Asian Review that a court order could potentially force the planned acquisition to take a backseat following the order that was filed by Japanese drugmaker Daiichi Sankyo through the Delhi High Court to block the pending deal.

The Turkish venture is the centre piece of IHH's growth strategy. This venture is bleeding eversince the Turkish Lira dropped against USD. It means whatever profit it made were totaly wiped our by forex losses.

"The lira is now down more than 40% against the dollar since the start of the year, making it far harder for Turkish companies to pay back loans they have taken out in the US currency."

if you say IHH making loss in some quarters ....this I agree...there is this loss risk

because IHH have many foreign operations and due to forex fluctuations and also due to very very complex group structure, IHH will have many accounting items which is one off that we cannot expect

the group structure is too complicated

I will just buy when it huge drop in share price and buy in stages ...to keep for long term ...I trust of its biz ...health care now is so important and with insurance coverage awareness become more ...private healthcare will be more affordable now

I cannot study and predict its profit or target price like other more simpler company such as PANAMY, LCTITAN, TOPGLOV, ECONBHD, EKOVEST, MYEG , SAM , LAY HONG, LIIHEN etc (these company group structure more simple and profit a bit easier to predict )
