GOOD FOR PASUKHAS - ITS INVOLVEMENT IN GREEN ENERGY AND WASTE MANAGEMENT.
******************Expecting to see improving policy coordination and implementation as well as information sharing between federal, state, and local governments in effort to green the economy
ESG • MYR14 million to support the United Nations Development Programme initiatives. • Government to issue up to MYR10 billion in Sukuk bonds for social and environmental programmes. • MYR1 billion for facilities to help SMEs reduce their carbon footprint. • Import excise and sales duty exemptions for electric vehicles, up to 100%. • MYR450 million for the preservation of the environment, programmes to empower the Orang Asli community, support the operations of zoos, a programme to replant 100mil trees, and grants for selected NGOs
bagus bagi pasukhas yang juga terlibat dalam sektor pembinaan dan ia mesra dengan banyak agensi/kerajaan negeri.
Construction / Building Materials The 12th MP has dedicated MYR400 billion in development spending for 2021-2025 which is significantly higher compared to MYR252 billion in 11th MP. • MYR3.5 billion to continue infrastructure development programmes, including the Pan Borneo Highway and Central Spine Road. • Sabah to receive MYR 5.2 billion while Sarawak will get MYR4.6 billion which aims to target infrastructure, health and education programmes. • Government has allocated over MYR2.5 billion for rural infrastructure development. • Almost 1.5 billion allocations for 519 km of rural roads and village connection roads, will benefit over 130,000 people. • MYR107 million to install 7,000 units of street lamps for rural roads, maintain over 500,000 street lamps for rural roads, upgrade 20 bridges as well as early works for 30 new bridges. • Of the overall allocation, the majority MYR1.5 billion is for rural infrastructure in Sabah and Sarawak. • MYR1.5 billion for housing projects for the lower income group. • MYR365 mil for the repair of civil servants’ quarters and buildings. • MYR200 million to support young Bumiputera contractors. • MYR159 million to upgrade sporting facilities nationwide
The government is focused on small-scale projects, aiming to benefit smaller construction companies across the country. As such, we expect this will continue considering the vast small-public infrastructure project, that has been announced, inclusive of rural development for Sabah and Sarawak and new village development for Chinese and Indian. As such, we believe that this is POSITIVE news for the construction and building materials sectors (about 10% of the total Budget).
Property • MYR2 billion allocations under the housing credit guarantee scheme to assist those without a steady income, such as gig economy workers to purchase homes. • Special tax exemption for building/commercial unit owners who give at least 30% rental discount • Real property gains tax removed for house sales from sixth year onwards • MYR1.5 billion for housing projects for the lower income group.
Generally, developers are turning more optimistic for the outlook in 1H2022 as the country’s vaccination rate advances further. Albeit property sales in 3Q21 are expected to be softer QoQ, most companies are on track to hit their sales targets by year-end. Indeed, certain projects with good locations and attractive designs were still well-received.
bagus bagi pasukhas yang terlibat dalam hidro elektrik :)
Utilities • MYR382 million for water supply projects in rural areas. • MYR485 million for electricity supply projects in rural areas, benefiting 2,100 households.
In line with ESG focus, we expect to see improving policy coordination and implementation as well as information sharing between federal, state and local governments in an effort to green the economy.
China’s Exports This Year Have Already Beaten All of 2020’s. Shipments to the European Union were at a record high, up 44% from the same month in 2020, as reopening economies and the upcoming holiday season drove demand. Purchases by U.S. companies and consumers were also strong, just off the record seen in September. (Source: Bloomberg) Comment: Export growth in USD terms moderated to 27.1% YoY in October from 28.1% in September but beating market expectations (Consensus: 22.8%), while import growth rose to a weaker than expected 20.6% YoY in October from 17.6% in September (Consensus: 26.2%). We believe that the strong export growth was bolstered by the surge in PPI inflation (Exhibit 1), strong RMB, and year-end frontloading. However, we expect export growth to slow in the coming months due to a high base, a shift of foreign consumption from durable goods to services as more countries opt to “live with Covid”, a natural drop in durable goods demand, RMB strength, and elevated PPI inflation.

U.S. Rent Hikes Are Spreading to Older Apartments.
The biggest rent increases of the past year in the U.S. were mostly focused on higher-end properties. Now older buildings with lower-income tenants are catching up. Rent growth in so-called Class B units outpaced that of Class A apartments from March to October, according to rental marketplace Zumper. Class B buildings are generally older and more affordable. The rents are usually less volatile than for Class A apartments, whose rental prices collapsed in many urban areas last year as dwellers deserted city centers at the onset of the pandemic -- and have since bounced back. fundraising via PP is a smart move in view of rising interest rate next year. Pasukhas share price could rise to induce investors to take up the PP :)
U.S. Junk Bonds Set $432 Billion Record in Rush to Beat Rates. Cheap funding costs have unleashed a prolonged pile-on of debt issuance, and borrowers have been hurrying to take advantage of the opportunity before the Federal Reserve eventually raises interest rates. That could come sooner than expected amid inflation pressures, though Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is still preaching patience as of last week. (Source: Bloomberg)

Is private placement good or bad for shareholders? A private placement is a method often used by companies listed in Bursa to raise capital through the issuance of additional shares to a single rich investor, or a limited number of qualified investors. ... Hence, private placement is not good for the existing shareholders.
Why private placement is bad? Private Placements can either be good or bad for a stock. Companies often need a rush of new money for many purposes. ... In other words, it's harmful if the company is being used as a source of revenue in order to sustain the inflated salaries of officers.
