bcz bonus doesnt add value at all..better of distribute by way of special dividend if really wan to award shareholders..those bloggers keep on promoting bonus issue are actually misleading

Bonus Issue actually use shareholder's fund (reserve funds) to pay for the additional share.
It is better than share rights as it not ask shareholder's money to buy it...but the outcome is still the same...that is more share in the market and dilute eps and asset....

EPS and Dividend will diluted to average the share in the market and it is not a really good thing unless company eps increase and share price increase in future..

Free warrant is a bonus for shareholders and can earn if sell in higher price. If u convert to normal share you need pay it and the share price will adjust to lower price as increase stock quantity in market.

very strong property stock...price now support by bonus issue

Posted by nichin47 > 2015-07-10 11:59 | Report Abuse

Free bonus & warrant ex date 14th July, how come no price movement yet?

Posted by money_builder > 2015-07-14 11:49 | Report Abuse

A have a question to all of you. The stock marked ex-date for bonus issue today with ratio of 1:6.

The stock closed at 3.13 yesterday (13/7). Theoritically by calculation, it wuld means the opening price of Matrix should be = 3.13x6/7 = 2.6828 (round to 2 decimal shall be 2.68 at least). Why the price was actually adjusted to $2.64 instead?

is it because of the free warrant that comes in bundle that caused the calculation different? Anyone can shed the light on how the actual calculation work?

Posted by money_builder > 2015-07-14 15:23 | Report Abuse

While most of the property counters such as Mahsing, Huayang and Tambun have dropped for few % in the last couple weeks, Matrix has sustained well for its bonus issue. Since the exercise has over, I guess Matrix is to follow the few % drop , unless the broad mkt change to bull gear significantly tomorrow onward.

Collected small number of lots at RM2.48 and RM2.47.

It is a good entry point now, with the high dividend yield of above 5.5%.

Have trust in Dato Lee as Hulk above said, and management's track record. The company through his leadership has delivered consistent profit growth since listing, combined with consistent dividend payments.
