touch 1.60!!! Minus 3c div IPO holder is giving this good fundamental Malakof a 17c div in return. Very sad to be a loyal shareholder.

It's not limited to Malakoff but also Tenaga, the telcos etc. Foreign funds have been selling, albeit in a controlled manner. Prices are more attractive now but it may not be prudent to go against the tide. Our local institutions can't hold up the market. Better to stay at the sidelines for now - especially when it comes to index-linked counters - and wait for the selling to complete first. During times like this, I believe retail investors will be turning their attention to penny counters.

This year listing Malakof is the biggest... the best fundamental... but the only one below IPO price... far far below!! Many IPO holder including me will still be holding coz of the research house fair value. My friend IPO rejected now can buy much lower.

Simple logic..index is going to test 1,630-1,660. So Malakoff 1.50-1,60. If EATECH which IPO is 60sen will touch 1.70 , after dip to 46sen who is bluffing everyone, why cant Malakoff bluff us also later..x worry too much..:)

Malakoff Corp is the largest IPP by capacity in Malaysia. Its effective capacity of 5,346MW represents 26% capacity in Msia. Its PPAs have fuel cost pass-through clauses in place, shield it off from earning volatility. In additions, Malakrof have dividend payout up to 75% policy. Therefore, in current volatile market, Malakoff could be benefirical for theme of defensiveness.

This is what stock market is all about. They bought @ 1.80 and now they throw at lower price. Then they will collect back and sell at higher price. Though it doesn't make sense but that's how the big sharks make money. If you can't ride the wave, better stay outside the lines.
