Historically BCM shares were traded in the range of 6.55 sen to 45.5 sen over a period of five (5) years. BCM has an unbroken profit track record of profit after tax over the last five financial years and its net assets per share has increased from 5 sen to 13 sen over the corresponding period indicating a resilient and financially strong company. Further, BCM has recently completed a special issue. The special issue was fully subscribed by Bumiputera investors approved by The Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia indicating a strong market acceptance and confidence in BCM. The Company’s cost of acquisition of BCM shares was at 43 sen per share which is reflective of Sanichi’s confidence in BCM and the expectation of its higher return on equity in the near future. The completion of the special issue of BCM has strengthen its liquidity position considerably from the proceeds of the special issue which gives BCM strong opportunities to complete its ongoing projects and provide ample working capital to take on new projects and investments as and when they are secured. The Company believes the Acquisition Shares have the potential of strong appreciation in share price based on BCM’s expected continuing profit track record and current business model.
