KLCI futures open higher

KUALA LUMPUR: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI futures contract (FKLI) on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened higher this morning despite the lower underlying cash market.
At 9.40am, June 2014 gained 1.5 point to 1,869.5, while September 2014 added one point to 1,864.
Both May 2014 and December 2014 were flat at 1,868.5 and 1,863, respectively.
Turnover totalled 922 lots while open interest stood at 31,075 contracts.
The benchmark FBM KLCI eased 0.93 of a point to 1,868.29 after 40 minutes of trading.-- Bernama
