Top Glove : The E484 mutation
Abstract
The E484, mutation found in emerging SARS-Cov2 viral lineages in Soouth Africa and Brazil reduces neutralization by antibodies from covid19 patients by >10 fold. While the E484 mutation causes significant reduction of antibody binding, it is not the only mutation, other mutations like G485R and S494P also caused lesser but still appreciable (~3 to 5-fold) decreases in neutralization titer
