Nothing makes humans easier to manipulate than fear. Unfortunately, all the manipulators of our time know this and maximizing their use of it.

We have walk past more than 390 weeks of up trend. By now I hope most people have already achieved their dreams and goals. 

Let's make it simple ; Be grateful. 

I am grateful for what I have. Being grateful boost my happiness. Since every volume of the nearly endless pop of self help books recommends some gratitude as key to happiness, I have conjured up a list of what I am grateful for.

1. I am grateful that I live in a country where the government can trample on the rights of its citizens behind a thin veil of legitimacy. After all, what terrible thing might happen if the government couldn't arrest those horrible people behind...........the rights of the peoples?

2. I am grateful for our national obsession with fostering phony self esteem that has no basis in accomplishment, dedication and sacrifices for others. As the self absorbed, entitled populace will still feel good about themselves as the bloated, dysfunctional status quo implodes.

3. I am grateful that we have institutionalized moral hazard as the unspoken law of the land. So financiers can gamble billions of dollars without worrying about the potential losses, as they know the taxpayers will foot the bill, while they get to keep all the gains.

4. I am grateful our financial markets are now dominated by central bankers, their cronies manipulation, high frequency trading and dark pool shadow banking and national funds. This guarantee that we commoners need to do is to make a lot of money playing in the stock market is to buy the dips.

5. I am grateful that money can buy political influence so transparently. As this informal auction is open to anyone with tens of millions of dollars who want to protect and expand their wealth and power. 

6. I am grateful that our mainstream media is owned by a handful of corporations, as the homogenized message they broadcast is reassuring uniform. If every outlet is repeating that the unemployment and inflation are low and the rising stock market is making us all wealthier, it must be true.

7. I am grateful that political correctness is always based on lies. So that people are not all the same. Black is not white. Woman is not man and gay is not straight. 

8. I am grateful that I have made some pennies and learned how painful the last two speculative blow off tops and it is impossible to predict the final stage of a bubble. 

Finally,  I am grateful for what I have now. 

And enjoy a happy, healthy and mentally peaceful life.
