Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem passed away this afternoon, just two weeks shy of his 73rd birthday.
Adenan, who lead the Barisan Nasional (BN) to a resounding victory during the last Sarawak election, died at the Kota Samarahan National Heart Institute (IJN), around 1.20pm.
He assumed the position of Sarawak’s fifth chief minister on March 1, 2014 and helped BN retained the state with a higher majority than it had seen in decades.

The only one BN CM with the spine and dared to stand up to the penyamuns from UMNO. Sad. Hopefully the next CM will be a vertebrate.
