Britain shouldn't make this event political by not inviting Russia & China, etc. If Russia & China want to mourn the loss of QEII, they should be allowed to.

Abraham arranged that his servant to travel back to his kampong to get a wife for his son Issac (Genesis 24:1-4).

The servant, with the prayers from Abraham and the blessing from the Lord, got a wife for Isaac. Her name is Rebecca (Genesis 24:61).

Upon returning and reaching back to Abraham's household, Isaac happened to have come to the field and saw the camels were approaching (genesis 24:63) and there was no Grab service/taxi).

Rebecca also saw Isaac from a distance. She asked the servant “Who is that man in the field coming to meet us?”
The servant answered “He is my master,” the servant answered.
So, she took her veil and covered herself.
(Not like now, nowadays girls like to be half-dressed/bare back, mini skirt)

SO, this is the first event in the Bible about how a love story between a bachelor and a shy/modest girl and he loved her.

Isaac's mother Sarah had passed away not long ago and now Isaac was comforted for having a wife.

Can see from photo that some dignitaries attended the funeral with smileys, not mourners..like taking opportunity to go London for a vacation with bills footed by the State.

Not surprising lah. Even the royal family members were in smileys too.

a funeral is a funeral, no need to make it political. Dunno what the Brits were think.
Samy Velu recently passed away, do you see the funeral only limited to BN components parties? NO! At least we Malaysians have more sense than the Brits! That I will say.

Abraham buried his wife at Hebron (Genesis 23:19). He purchased the burial ground with four hundred shekels of silver from Ephron the Hittite. At first, Ephron did not want to collect the money but Abraham had refused the transaction for free. Ephron said “Listen to me, my lord; the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver, but what is that between you and me? Bury your dead.” Meaning, Abraham is respectful person in the society and the people within the business community already very shy to take the money from him for burying his loved wife. Saying, "what is that between you and me?" is like "abang-adik".
Anyway, this transaction is one of the few transactions capture in the Bible that proved the ownership of the real estate that are belonged to the children of Sarah. The title deed was sealed there and then (Genesis 23:20).

AFTER some time, Abraham married another wife Keturah her name. The children from her were sent by Abraham to live in the East.

Toward the end, Abraham willed all the properties to Isaac.

7 Abraham lived a hundred and seventy-five years. 8 Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people. 9 His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite, 10 the field Abraham had bought from the Hittites.[a] There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah. 11 After Abraham’s death, God blessed his son Isaac.

When Isaac was 60 years old, his wife Rebecca gave birth to 2 twin sons Esau and Jacob. They were fights even when in their mother's womb.

Jacob was holding Esau's heel when came out from the womb of their mother. Esau always torture Jacob, like Nazi torture Israelites from the Holocaust. True, Nazi from Germany, Esau/Edom
and Israel another name of Jacob, they have conflicts until modern time.

Esau was close to his father Issac but Jacob was to his mother Rebecca.

Esau was a tough guy, like hunting, outdoor guy, the Nazi, European. Blessed from Isaac, inherited the merits from Isaacs, so Europeans did well but can be cruel. Like to fight and wars.

Yaakob/Jacob the Israelites gave in, can be bullied by the Europeans /USA, indoor guy, brainy invented many IT software, Blessed with Land with flowing milk & honey. Also suffered from Ishmael, the Arab, another son of Abraham from the Egyptian maid.

Each human being got the divine soul in their bodies. The soul makes the difference between man and an animal which does not have a soul which is divine.

Even when
the king passed away, we would say RIP to the dead person, wishing his/soul will be accepted by the Maker. The body is useless, motionless already, once the soul has detached from the body.
It isn't that the bones rest in peace.

If God wants us to run and jump, He must have us monkeys or horses. We human beings are installed with the divine souls and supposedly stay connected to the Maker constantly instead of momentarily. For example, What God expects us to do, don't have to be done by another creature /animal.
