With more than three decades of experience, IR Abd Rashid has an in-depth knowledge in monitoring and managing engineering and construction projects, specifically in O&G and petrochemicals industry.

IR Abd Rashid started his career with Shell in 1983. He progressed to take charge of an offshore oil and gas facility off the coast of Sabah in year 1984. 

Subsequently, IR Abd Rashid worked for Toyo Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd as executive director of Toyo Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd (an affiliate company of Toyo Engineering Corporation of Japan). He is also director of Technology Park Malaysia Corporation Sdn Bhd. IR Abd Rashid was director/ consultant for various companies including Brown & Root (M) Sdn Bhd and Dunia Reka Sdn Bhd.

IR Abd Rashid is President of the Malaysian Oil & Gas Engineering Council.
