In 1969, Encik Sharif Lough Abdullah was admitted as a member of the National Association of Goldsmith London and has been a member of Gemology Association, Great Britain since 1970.
In 1985, He joined the Melewar Group as the Group Executive Director and held the position for a period of 8 years. Thereafter, he formed the Mediconsult Group of Companies whereby he is an Executive Director, focusing on the healthcare industry.
En. Sharif Lough Abdullah was appointed to the Board of PWE Industries Berhad on 9 December 1994 as an Independent Non-Executive Director and also serve as a member of the Audit Committee. On 25 August 2003, he was appointed to the Board of M3NERGY Berhad [formerly known as Trenergy (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd] as an Independent Non-Executive Director. He is also a member of the Audit Committee, Nomination Committee and Remuneration Committee of M3NERGY Berhad.
