Lila is the Group Chief Corporate Development Officer of Axiata Group Berhad before assuming the Acting Group Chief Financial Officer role. She has been instrumental in many of the transactions within the Group including the merger of Celcom and Digi. Lila has more than 25 years of experience in M&A and corporate finance. Before her role in Axiata, she was in UEM Group, where she was the Director of Group Corporate Finance. At UEM Group, she was leading and managing a team in evaluating and executing projects and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions local and abroad. Lila previously held the position of Vice President, Corporate Finance at Axiata Group in 2009. Prior to joining Axiata in 2009, she was with Malakoff Corporation Berhad where her last held position was Vice President, Corporate and Project Finance.
