Lambo Group Berhad announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2018. For the quarter, the company announced revenue was MYR 22,008,528 compared to MYR 12,116,965 for the same period a year ago. Operating profit was MYR 5,761,284 compared to MYR 5,315,148 for the same period a year ago. Profit before taxation was MYR 5,761,284 compared to MYR 5,315,148 for the same period a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the parent company was MYR 4,216,705 or 0.28 sen per diluted share compared to MYR 4,029,474 or 0.35 sen per basic share for the same period a year ago. Net operating cash flows were MYR 8,116,212 compared to MYR 46,568,940 for the same period a year ago. Purchase of property, plant & equipment was MYR 16,972 compared to MYR 2,428 for the same period a year ago.

’s share price rose almost 7% this mroning on news of it securing a RM270.71mil contract from the Home Ministry.


The counter rose 6.88%, or 6.5 sen to RM1.01 with 3.6 million shares done. DSonic-C2 surged 300% to two sen while DSonic-C4 jumped 100% to one sen.


Datasonic’s wholly-owned subsidiary Datasonic Technologies Sdn Bhd (DTSB) has accepted a letter of award (LOA) from Kementerian Dalam Negeri Malaysia (KDN), for the supply of 9.96 million polycarbonate biodata pages to Jabatan Imgresen Malaysia (JIM) worth RM270.71mil.


Datasonic said the contract is for a period of 46 months, from Feb 1, 2018 till Nov 20, 2021.

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 9): Datasonic Group Bhd is partnering Bahraini company Dynamic Structures WLL (DSWLL) to expand its security business internationally in 18 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

In a bourse filing today, Datasonic said it had entered into a five-year exclusive agency agreement with DSWLL to jointly develop and coordinate business activities of secure identification, personalisation solution, integrated security and surveillance system. It will also establish a legal presence via an official regional office to undertake all its activities.

In accordance to the agreement, DSWLL will assist Datasonic to obtain the necessary licences, permits, and registrations which are required to commence operations in the following countries: the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, Sudan, Djibouti, Libya, Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia.

Additionally, Datasonic will be providing full funding to set up a regional office as well as the rental of an office, the company's registration fees and the salary of a representative of the branch office for these countries.

While the agreement is not expected to see any contribution for the financial year ending March 31, 2019, subject to the successful bidding of project(s) in the said countries, Datasonic noted that the agreement is expected to contribute positively towards the group's future earnings.

"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the subcontract is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings and net assets per share of the group," it said.

Shares in DNeX were unchanged at 40.5 sen this afternoon, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM712 million.

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 14): Dagang Nexchange Bhd (DNeX) has bagged a RM8.6 million subcontract to supply, install and commission hardware equipment and ICT facilities in relation to the proposed construction of Universiti Putra Malaysia's training hospital in Serdang.

Its wholly-owned subsidiary, DNex Solutions Sdn Bhd had yesterday accepted a letter of award from Aim Concept Sdn Bhd, the Johor-based main contractor for the project.
