@keyman188, no doubt LKT was the highest tax payer individually in malaysia but LKT is definitely in personal financial distress now else he would not have pledged his entire GHK shares us half of his gent shares as collateral.

Maybe GHK kena goreng up by LKT to do a major share placement at higher price to new china investor? After pandemic, i think it is reasonable for cruise biz to go back to 2/3 of previous capacity within 2 years.

Commodities theme is strong. I think its on long term up cycle. Too much liquidity and cheap money chasing after what the world economy needs on economic recovery. At this stage, the world needs commodities more than gambling :)

Ongoing vaccination news in Malaysia already widely read everywhere. I doubt the day vaccine arrives at KLIA or when din din takes the first shot will have much impact to this stock.

MCO2.0 release for the remaining states is expected to be not too distant but probably not so for interstate travel ban. Releasing interstate travel ban on 07/12/2020 was a bad mistake. The health authorities may want to be very cautious on this.

Long time no post. Im surprised at the strength of the recent rally and the courage of this stock operator's courage. I should have respected the chart more at initial downline breakout rm4.05 and close green at 4.07 when 400k shares were queuing and begging for buyers at after closing match. My mistake. We learn from past mistakes and study our mistakes again to be better. No worries the market is always there.

Topglove will never drop to RM3.....a good counter v strong cash flow will not drop to rm 3...... only gambling counter will drop to rm 3.....

So many new glove makers coming up. Marginal excess supply of just 5% will cause glove selling prices to crash below production cost price. All the glove manufacturers will lose money and just sell above their variable costs to cover some fixed cost (minimise operating losses). It will be survival of the fittest to see which glove manufacturers can afford to lose money longer to weed out the weaker players. You need to understand economics, market dynamics and cost accounting. Shorties and large fund managers can see gloves dark clouds coming soon. You still dont have the foresight to understand market dynamics. No need to see further, gloves share prices are telling you something wrong is coming already.

GHK is not subsidiary of GENT. Seperate entities. LKT may need to continue declare dividends at his listcos drawing from past reserves despite billion dollar losses for 2020 because he needs the dividend to service his personal debts interest payments (using his listco shares as pledged collateral).

USA casinos not easy to make $. I duno why LKT focus so much on USA casinos but didn't move into Macau then. Macau casinos are much more lucrative than USA casinos. Even LVS wants to sell their flagship LV casino.

Dont worry. The market is always there. I missed this most recent rally too. We cannot catch all the upwaves because we didn't buy and hold. But if we have bought and held earlier during the downtrend, we could be still below water!

I believe the recent strength for this stock is in anticipation of Gens result. After this news, there could be weakness in price as 4Q result to be announced later this month will most likely show the other casinos in the group are not performing and probably operating at steep losses. Hence many traders may choose to sell the stock before Q4 results.

Bopian lah when USD getting strong, foreign funds will tend to pull $ out of E.M (think they dont want to park money in a depreciating currency relative to USD). Vice versa, when USD getting weak, foreign funds will park their money in E.M (taking advantage of an appreciating currency relative to USD).

In theory its like that. Nothing to do with domestic economy.
