USD won’t shoot up bro, another 2t stimulus in the pipeline and no signs of inflation

Stimulus needs to chop by half to be approved. Inflation creeping up.

USD/MYR may breakout 1 yr down line to 4.10 zone. Long term USD downtrend

Becareful USD shooting up. E.M indexes should remain weak. Unlikely to go against weak indexes for long. I suspect could be another pump and dump operation. Remember to sell in news. I notice these days operators also know that retailers know and practice "sell in news". Hence operator chud new pattern sell 1 day before news (provided already rallied quite substantially prior to news).

Come out of meeting see Genting chionged! Could be technical response to short term breakout of down line because stock price not moving in tandem with KLCI. Daring stunt by the stock operator. Could be running ahead of Singapore result and then sell in news.

Haven't bought yet... sigh.

Got vaccine or no vaccine better?

Yes Malaysia usually will take longer time because rural areas harder to reach compared to city state like Singapore (which is already very slow in vaccination progress). But eventually most Malaysians who want to be vaccinated will be vaccinated.

Things may not get better immediately but it will get better eventually.

Now you are blaming selfish mankind so things wont get better. Spinning a new reason to create market mood despair. Can talk some sense or not?

I dont just simply buy at support zone. In bad selldown or bear market, support zones can be broken. Hence wait a while more n see if it can be successfully defended n bulls are taking charge after price tested support zones. Need to be super careful with stock market. Real money is involved here.

Slightly more responsible now... people can eventually become more responsible right? Start to use words like "possible" also. Good because everything is just an opinion, no guarantee it will happen.

CFD required capital margin for blue chips is usually 10% to 15%. The full amount of shares bought is considered interest paying loans until position liquidated (calculated daily). Almost 7 to 10 times leverage. If price drop by 10% you are almost wiped-out. If price drop lower you add more again, lower again and you will get margin call. If no immediate cash top up they will force sell for you. It can be very dangerous for new traders to trade using CFDs. Don's always think of the bright side. Seriously need consider the negative side and what you are going to do when shxt happens. Anything can happen in the stock market. Plan in advance first and stick to the plan. Price can move fast, gap ups and gap downs. The market is always there for good traders to make money. Acquire good trading skills more important.

You mastered cutloss skill already? CFD is double-edge-sword...

Nobody knows.

On short term this stock still on downtrend. Indian astrology says 5th Feb global index major sell down. Chinese fengshui prediction says Feb and March are down months. I think these predictions may be correct (timing wise about 1 week off) and global selldown may just have started this week. I think better be cautious. Same advice again... mai luan luan lai (meaning: don't anyhow whack).

Answered this question before.

These are highly leveraged instruments that can go against you when your trades go wrong. Think of defence first, dont keep thinking of how much you could have make. Profits will take care of itself but losses never do, especially when using high leverage. Need to understand that there is a possibility that CFD users may end up poorer faster.

I personally feel those using CFDs preferably need a few years of active stock trading experience, preferably traded through at least 1 major bear market before (last major bear was 2008). Can you cutloss long position quickly when trades go wrong? Or you will tend to add on to position at lower price like most investors do?

Just to share some trading experience on this stock here. I had 3 good swings on Genting since Nov 2020 netting me over 7 digit profit figure (paper profits converted into cash already). I was deceived by a false breakout and entered some small position at rm4.46 region. When I sense something is not right and conclude it was a false breakout, i cut immediately at rm4.40. That is how impatient I am to bad / losing trades, how quick and decisive when i cutloss. Are you able to do that? Im have a lot of buffer (the profits I made from the market) after those 3 successive profitable trades, Im using cash account (not using CFD) and can hold those small losing positions for long term years. But still I quickly cutloss. Can you cutloss like me? If you confirm you can cutloss decisively, then ok try small small amount at any brokerages that offer CFDs.

You need to understand what is margin call top ups and be prepared for it. Cutloss is something easier said than done when real cash money and emotions are involved. I just treat it in a mechanical way without much emotion, treat it as an inevitable business cost related to stock trading and hope my trading profits exceed those losses from cutloss and all the brokerage fees involved in trading.

Beijing to expand blacklist of overseas gambling destinations for Chinese tourists

Beijing will add more overseas gambling destinations to its travel blacklist for Chinese nationals as it clamps down on an activity that it says sees an estimated 1 trillion yuan (US$155 billion) of capital outflows annually.

The restrictions aim to “better regulate the tourism market and safeguard the lives and property of Chinese citizens”, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced on its website on Tuesday.

The blacklist – introduced in August by the tourism, public security and foreign ministries – puts travel restrictions on places where Chinese go to gamble. The tourism ministry said more destinations would be added to the list soon, without elaborating.

I dont think 2021 results will be worse than 2020 for Genting Bhd. Singapore casino fully operational. Zero local transmission cases here so gamblers can game safely without worry of contracting covid.

Warren Buffett sold all his airlines stocks liow. SIA is a bankrupted company if not for Singapore govt's massive intervention. The outlook for air travel not bright for the couple of years at least.

Casinos are different. Monopoly license with high barrier of entry. Locals form a huge part of clientele. No tourists but casinos can still make money during air travel recovery stage. Think of olden days those gambling dens. Where got foreign customers? All local gamblers and it was still very lucrative.

In my watchlist, Genting Bhd is the only green counter (not moving) in the sea of red for all regional counters. Perfect thaipusam timing! :)

Now covid singaporeans cannot even cross the causeway to open malaysia bank account.

Singaporeans can use their singapore brokerage ccount to trade bursa shares. Cash account commission for bursa stocks is abt 0.15%. Try to avoid too much currency conversion for frequent traders of bursa stocks because the currency conversion is over 1% slippage loss for each time you do currency settlement. Say if you buy using S$ settlement currency and sell using S$ settlement currency, the brokerage will cream off over 2% for forex conversion. So try to leave the settlement currency in rm for active bursa traders using singapore brokerage accounts.

I dont know which fengshui master was behind the rat year's fengshui chart that Im using. The fengshui master is from Hong Kong, the land of hardcore fengshui fanatics. But it was super damn accurate for year of rat. Of course there were earlier years it was accurate for first half but not so for the second half (vice versa). Certain rare years it was way off which means if you follow it blindly you would have become much poorer!
