So to accept that SD accounts is ok.. I have to force myself to accept :

1) operating in a global environment, SD is able to negotiate favorable terms to maintain consistent GP and NP margin over different continents.
2) No contract adjustment is allowed with principal resulting in potential losses to principal. No cancellation or adjustment clauses are accepted if doing business with SD.
3) Accept that SD only do 1 type of business and nothing else. So their margin will be consistent.
4) even if their other revenue also makes same profit margin as O&M work.
5) the above are all revenue based. At the same time, I must also accept SD operational cost never changes. Overheads remains same.
6) Financial cost despite increasing borrowing also never changes and no impact on bottom line.
7) i must believe SD is operating in a closed environment oblivious to external changes. Every year make 18% GP and 11% NP margin.

I think I cannot… neither will most people.

It’s sounded like SD is operating in a SIM game.

Of course I agree with you. O&G is a big industry with many different aspects.

Let’s look at S&D objectively. They don’t focus on 1 part of the o&g business. They are involved in many. Now also bringing in other revenue stream.

Imagine SD is a stream with new incoming streams to widen business base.

But what I cannot comprehend, the presented GP and NP can remain stable over 5 years. If it’s a 1 trick pony or Micro enterprise, it’s possible. Not a billion revenue company like SD.

Looking in totality, something is very wrong with SD books. First the stable margins, Secondly the abnormal CF of this company.. thirdly.. the receivables and many more. In other words, it looked like a patched up Frankenstein.

I posted way back that this is good horse .. just needed to change the jockey. This opinion never changed

Don’t worry.. go ahead and kutuk KPMG.. I don’t like them anyway.. too snobbish.. I also commented SD shareholders should sue KPMG for negligent accounting later when all findings are concluded.

But accounting is a fix standard. No escape. Kalau ada escape route, how to have corporate governance.

Numbers are numbers. But there are too many ways to adjust the numbers. And SD numbers are simply not right in totality. Reactions from SD management made things worse.

I know you are invested in SD.. so will be painful. What I’m doing is prevent people like Conpipi or Uncle Lim and many others to make more victims to fall into a bigger hole. I remember what I said, you make money, I happy.

Impossible for any company to maintain a stable GP and NP margin in industries related to oil and gas.. regardless of upstream or downstream.

Fanboys will remain as fanboys.

Next topic for argument is the FCF and OCF of SD and why again it’s abnormal. Pinky better start googling
