TNB is only buy or hold la, don't sell. Keep for dividends.

Aiya i3investor got 5-year chart of MMC, go see yourself.
Now is considered "quite" cheap. Those who bought at around RM2 4-5 years ago really cry also no more tears.
I never said MMC financials are wonderful, but at current price and dividend yield it's an attractive investment.
I merely offered my balanced view. Shark or stock market operator talk like this wan meh? XD

@ykyew11 have you heard of this?
"The market can be irrational for much longer than you think"
I.e. a stock can be traded below fair value for a long time...I think that's what people call "value trap"

Maybe I'm one of those who want to be able to keep accumulating at cheaper prices so I purposely talk negatively of MMC here to keep it from going up? Wahahahaha
2020-12-10 14:01 | Report Abuse
taitaiwong, were u one of those who bought between RM1 to RM2? Kesian
Wahahahaha
2020-12-10 13:18 | Report Abuse
@kinuxian yes I noticed what u observed too, growth is certainly not there
Main factor I buy in is for the dividend yield, that is why I never looked at MMC when it was trading at RM1 to RM2
Now is 4.5 sen / RM0.90 = 5% yield
Back then when, let's say trading at RM1.50, yield was below 3% hence I won't consider it
2020-12-10 13:16 | Report Abuse
Our comments caused MMC to go down? Wahahahaha
Actually I guess that MMC shareholders don't want it to go up because they wanna keep accumulate cheap (for the dividend yield), so they keep trading it within low range. Just my wild guess la.

>>>If you’re in it for the long term, you’ll be rewarded. But for medium term, opportunity cost is not worth it.
Fair comment.
As I've said before there must be some reason why this stock is not appreciated by the market. Cannot be no reason it's slumping over the years. Pity those who bought at around RM2 years back

@petnch2020 u cannot compare MMC to Westport like that
It's like compare tembikai susu with tembikai
Westport is a pure port stock
MMC is a conglomerate with ports, utilities and construction
Their profit margins are different

TNB is too big to average down la boss
I better deploy my capital elsewhere while patiently waiting for it to go up eventually, worst case scenario just enjoy the dividends

Talk is easy, see your entry points lo
My history with TNB:
Buy 11.14 in 2015
Sell all 12.06 in 2015
Buy 14+ in 2016
Sell all 15.66 in 2018
So recently I buy in again, now my average cost is 11.93 u tell me la how to make capital gain XD
2020-12-09 12:25 | Report Abuse
Just hold long term as FD stock la, TNB is hopeless for capital gain la. I also give up already XD

Maybe he was talking to MMC's supplier or sub contractor. Basically you cannot be a successful/profitable contractor if no one hates you because it would mean that you are overpaying them XD

MQREIT is stronger than maybe UOAREIT because it mostly has single-tenanted buildings. In a sense it is more like the "Axis REIT" of the office space.
