@Chen Caesar I not support Genting
But I'm just sharing the correct mental approach to investing
Glove fever are not things that occur always
If u have this mentality where u keep looking for stocks that can give u mega returns like glove in recent times, u will be either disappointed or take wild reckless bets and end up lose money
After a few years u will give up on stocks altogether and curse the stock market as a con job

@Foker
>>>Social distancing most likely will end by next year June. Think for yourselve.
How often you go Genting casino?
I used to go Genting casino, 3-4 times a week. I can tell you, even on peak, they don't have have 7 gamblers a table, all tables operating. Gambler's superstitious mentality, they go "chase" luck at the "hot" tables - meaning you could have a few super crowded tables with 10-20 gamblers, then next to those tables, totally no one playing.
With compulsory physical distancing measures, the gamblers will be forced "spread out" across tables.
Whether I'm right or not, let's check out Genting Malaysia gambling revenue coming end of this month. :)

@DestinyL
"Its very touching and at times inhumane how they dealt with it."
It may appear inhumane but then again the virus has no feelings.
It will not discriminate. E.g. u say u have to go home see your dying parent, but the virus dunno and don't care that your parent is dying
That is why they did their Wuhan lockdown right - no discretion, no "special approval", no exemptions. A lockdown means a lockdown, you are not leaving/entering no matter what.
Our MCO/CMCO/RMCO is a joke. Because of one fella's "feelings" you wanna risk the lives of an entire village or even city? That is why u read about news of homes with dead pets (owner is away, no one to feed the pets) and so on. Their lockdown is a true lockdown. That is why they managed to keep infection under control. No belas kasihan, because the virus has no belas kasihan. That's the fact.

EPF has a dividend-focused strategy as it needs distributable incomes in order to pay annual dividends to EPF members.
And EPF has a cap of 30% foreign investments (if I remember correctly)
Thus, it will keep buying shares of local stocks with good divvy yield

Hahaha yaya this Covid-19 caused many of us to be immune to huge paper losses. Good actually, you will never mature as an investor until you learned to accept that double figure % losses are normal.
During 2008-09 crash I freaked out on a 25% paper loss. In a hindsight I should not have freaked out and quit! If I had stayed invested that loss would turn into a huge win later on.

@kinuxian yea I noted the special dividend. But TNB management has guided that they plan to distribute more back to shareholders before they revert back to the usual dividend policy. Something they call "capital management".

In this case, MMC always declare dividends on April and pay by June
As long as you own the shares before EX date, you get the dividends
