Human vaccines research will always be many steps behind the virus , coz human only got at most 50 research labs on vaccine but Covid got many millions of research labs on how to get around human immune systems. They are constantly trying out different permutations to see which one gonna work. So when vaccine is introduced, it means they will be more focused towards mutating the protein spikes bcos that would be the focus of the vaccines in generating the antibody arsenals. Of course we all hope that vaccines can do their jobs effectively but now that scientist discovered that Covid has very high level agility in mutation , common sense tells us that vaccine is gonna need more time to eradicate the virus. Scientist will have to constantly track the virus mutations in many parts of the world and fine tune the vaccines further each time to catch up with the mutations that can escape the vaccines. Each year I wonder how many different versions of vaccines need to be produced for the next 2-3 years. One thing for sure, the demand for gloves will only continue to be high and glove shortage will not easily be met.

It is and in 6 months from now, Covid-19 & 20 will rear their ugliest head, infecting more than double the 1st wave did and killing in the same ratio. If the Spanish flu is of any guide, the 2nd wave was the deadliest, killing more than 50% of the total death. So we can expect that Covid19&20 will do the same, as this is the biological behavior of such virulent virus that appear every 100 years. Looks like the real panic scenario is only really beginning worldwide, where the sense of apocalypse will start to strike the worst affected countries such as UK,US and Europe. The urgency of the rolling out of the vaccines clearly reveal the sense of panic by the authorities. In such scenario, no amount of gloves gonna be sufficient to handle all the infection cases. We can only hope what amount of vaccines deployed within the next few months can reduce the death rate but with the virus mutating very fast, there's fear the vaccine will soon be rendered redundant. What is certain is there will be further panic buying of medical gloves and ASP will go even higher. Sorry for those in the recovery stock, further closing of borders will happen and so are further lock down of the economy.

Don't think Covid19 problem is so simplistic. You think the warp speed vaccines are gonna suddenly wipe out the virus immediately. My hope is that the vaccines themselves don't wipe out any the healthy ppl who took them. Vaccines are gonna take time with further fine tuning from data to be collected from all the millions of guinea pigs being inoculated soon. So many rounds of vaccinations for the global population needed before the final vaccine that can really be effective and safe is found. But meantime its all about gloves to save lives.

Its ok to compare bcos the Spanish Flu was the closest global pandemic timing wise, but the comparison must be qualified properly. But I think the most important essence we can take away is the impact of the 2nd wave, which was the most damaging in Spanish Flu. This impact will be felt soon as even if the vaccines have good positive effect, it will still take many months to be deployed. Meanwhile in the next 6 months the devastation will continue in many parts of the world.

I don't think u truly understand the nature of the Spanish Flu pandemic apart from the fact it happened between 1918-1920. Below is extract from Wikipedia:

"The Spanish flu, also known as the 1918 flu pandemic, was an unusually deadly influenza pandemic caused by the H1N1 influenza A virus. Lasting from February 1918 to April 1920, it infected 500 million people – about a third of the world's population at the time – in four successive waves. The death toll is typically estimated to have been somewhere between 17 million and 50 million, and possibly as high as 100 million, making it one of the deadliest pandemics in human history."

It started in Feb 1918 and ended Apr 1920 - all in 26 months in 4 successive waves. Infected 500 million ppl. World population at that time was 1.5b ppl. Killed ard 10% of the total infected meaning 50 million died. If we want to use it as a reference or guide , that means Covid may need to infect 1/3 of world population before it will fade away. Current world population is 7.8B. So it means 2.5b ppl would be infected. And 250 mil ppl will die from it if left to its own device.

At the moment we are only 12 months into Covid19. And worldwide we are into the 2nd wave of the pandemic with 76mil infected and 1.7 mil death. With better medical technology and facilities we have avoided more death than Spanish flu so far. But if you read carefully, the Spanish flu 2nd wave was the deadliest, killing more than 50% of the total death of the Spanish flu pandemic. We are now going into 2nd wave, if Spanish flu is of any guide the new infected and the death toll will be the highest in coming months, maybe more than double of what we have so far. Though vaccines are being rolled out, but nothing is certain about their true efficacy in preventing new infections and length of protection. And on-going virus mutations add further uncertainty.

Stockraider, if you really want to use Spanish flu as a guide to understand Covid19 effect, pls make more intelligent comparison rather than making unsubstantiated remarks like a common housewife do when gossiping.

The reason why the IBs have to (allegedly) suppress the price of the mother shares (of the Big Four) now is that they miscalculated the pricing of the EARLIER issued CWs, especially the SCWs (where they have to pay cash settlements).

The IBs never expected gloves share prices to skyrocket like they did. They learnt their lesson and priced their LATER CWs with very high Exercise Prices/ Ratios..resulting in the CWs mostly being out of the money (for the punters). So there is no danger of the IBs losing money either thru CW conversion or cash settlement for SCWs.

So the "effect" of suppressing the mother shares will wane as time goes on imo. I have not looked directly at when (I have no interest in CWs whatsoever lol)..but others with knowledge have stated that the CWs maturing in Feb 2021 onwards are all "out of the money". So we SHOULD see a smoother progression higher for these stocks from Feb 2021 onwards imo. Hold tight & go0d luck :)

Agree with your analysis, in fact I see that IBs are all preparing the base for the 2nd coming glove rally, as their analysts are all changing tune to speak favorably of the coming glove super profits days, now that all the undervalued CWs are out of the way, and also with the vaccine stories out, its clear that vaccines would not immediately solve the problems and with the pandemic now underway on a powerful 2nd wave in many parts of the world including Msia, the forward demand for glove would only become more intense in the coming months, and its not an overestimation to say that global shortage of glove supply will extend till end of 2022 into 2023 and ASP would remain on high side at least until end 2022.

@Morpheus61 @Toneefa, you'd be surprised. There's another 30 Warrants on TG from now till 3Q 2021. So far. Some later ones do have a slightly higher Exercise price but is that to say, the value of the company 3 quarters from now is determined already by the IB? And they get paid to do that ?

Ok noted @Morpheus61. However, personally I m only invested in Supermax amongst the Big4. Its my believe that Supermax will outshine the other 3 in 2021 due to higher EPS and with KLCI inclusion and subsequent SGX dual listing will command a better valuation with higher PE than now.
The current TPE are as follow:
-TG = 10.4 ( due to facing many issues lately)
-Harta = 42.0 ( funds favourite therefore overpriced)
-Supermax = 9.9 ( underestimated dark panther but will shine in 2021)
-Kossan = 12.2 ( right valuation )

With KLCI and SGX listing the PE should be at least >15. The estimated EPS for FY21 is RM 2.0
Therefore FY21 TP = 2.0 x 15 = RM 30. As you can read, except for stupid JP Morgan analysts, the other IBs analysts are starting to sing praises for the glove counters, raising their TPs, bcos they know they cannot suppress the prices any further, bcos effect of Covid19 is real and cannot be manipulated.

@Morpheus61 @ToneeFa bro, do check again. There are fresh Warrants issued very recently. This will go on and on and on. Share prices are supposed to reflect the value of a company from time to time NOT the Warrants issued by some Investment Bank

Morpheus61 bro, SW factor maybe in last Oct and Nov had some effect on the price depression bcos of multiple maturity dates within those months. But going forward they are more spaced out, and with higher exercise price and ratio. I m not sure if they will have much impact on the price going forward. I think the current play is due to funds and sharks trying to collect cheap using the vaccine smoke screen. But in due time the play will shift towards glove 2nd wave rally soon.

@Morpheus61 Guys, I urge you to take a step back and think. Whatever we analyse means nothing. The price will move according to the Warrant Exercise price, Expiry and the number of Warrants the IB has with themselves.

No worries Morpheus61 bro, SW are just passing phase that is part of the game. No point calling for something to stop when its not in our power to do so. But at this price or lower, we can also collect more to average down. We know the fundamentals are intact and the best earning seasons are yet to be announced. So take advantage of the manipulation by sharks. The best way to avoid eaten by the sharks is to ride on their fins.

@Agjl Agreed that we look at the valuation. No doubt ant it...in regards of the big volume eaten towards the end just get my curiousity up...nothing in particular....just a bit unusual from the other days especially TG...huge makan towards the end....my thought is sharks or IBs are either squaring off position or refreshing.... new batch to short perhaps

Ya..what's clear to me is that all these manipulations are for the sharks to buy cheap by creating fear factors and training bilis to throw cheap to them. One thing about their method is certain, that it's always unpredictable and comes with no certainty. Therefore we can only rely on the solid fundamentals as our guide. But I can see at this price, its quite rock bottom, any lower and I believe Stanley himself will come in to sapu up.

The same happened to TG. Last 10 minutes huge makan big lots by big lots.

Both super and TG same pattern. Mau be just recycle or refresh their position.

Why such interest?
I always look to these figures EPS FY21 = 0.3+0.6+0.6+0.5 = RM 2.0 @RM 6.8 = PE 3.4
with KLCI inclusion, coming FTSE World Index inclusion and coming SGX dual listing, how long can it stay at this price?
My estimate for::
FY21 EPS = 0.3+0.6+0.6+0.5 = RM 2.0 x PE 10 = RM 20
FY22 EPS = 0.5+0.5+0.4+0.4 = RM 1.8 x PE 10 = RM 18 with added 12b capacity to 38b pcs
FY23 EPS = 0.3+0.3+0.3+0.3 = RM 1.2 x PE 10 = RM 12. further add 10b capacity to 48b pcs

@swagger855 @Toneefa True. But given how low the percentage of people getting severe allergic reactions from the vacinne has been, it's a real stepping stone. They probably estimated the confidence interval for the whole population from their sample before submitting to FDA for approval. Not sure about the math behind it.

In their phase 3 trials, they probably have screened out those who are known to have mild or severe allergies. Why would they want to include these ppl who can spoil their results. They oredi planned their trials to show the best results ma. You will do the same if you were the CEO. They oredi produced many millions of vials of the vaccine prior to the trial completion. They oredi counted the chickens before they hatched. Profit deemed in the pocket oredi. And bcos they don't carry any liabilities, apa pun boleh jalan. Mostly Gov't have to indemnify them. The key to their profit is in the marketing skill to make the vaccine look and sound good. Later oni deal with the problems. So the current emergency vaccination program allow them to further collect more data at the same time generate the expected profit. Win Win for them, but some lose to poor souls have to become victims to some medical conditions. Hopefully no unnecessary death.
