Lulu.. You did not read my comment correctly. I said my fear is the directors may privatize the co for its cash assets. Obviously i don't want them to privatize the co.

With my limited knowledge, allow me to highlight just one point. An investor who bought Latitude on 20 Dec 2013 at rm2.00 and still holding till today 15Dec 2015, price rm7.30 will have reaped an appreciation of rm5.30. In the space (holding) 2 years the return would be 265%/2years= 132% p.a. Nothing to complain. Just sit tight and hope & my worry is the directors don't privatise the company and pay peanuts to the minority shareholders

Sokong also for share split & bonus. Panamay no bonus but declare good dividend, annually more than 150 sen. Latitude much cash but distribute peanuts to shareholders only 12 sen. Keep building up cash reserves like Oriental & SPB, but keeping for whom??

Why is this counter dropping daily. Some big guys like Un. KYY must be 'fed up' with the top and decided to bail out. Un KYY had on one ocassion suggested to the top to make the shares more liquid, be generous with the div and go for a corporate exercise( bonus, share split etc) but nothing was done. So next choice to look for better companies & bail out.

However wonder why directors not having any coperate exercises like other furniture companies to make the shares cheaper & more liquid by declaring bonus, share split or warrants. At this price not many can buy with quantity to be invested in company.
Hopeful they will be pro active. Lets wait and see for the good news if it will come.

Ha Ha Ha You all took the bait lah...... I was wondering why this blog on Latitude was so quiet and no buzz. So I decided to stir the pot. And wow came the answers. please lah with due respect to kcchongz and his great analysis and spotting of undervalued stocks. I have great respect for yr 'picks'. In fact I bought Latitude at rm2.80 in March 2014 and still hold it till today. My thanks to you, . kcchongz. thanks again and believe me there was no malice in my posting. Definitely this stock is a laggard. The directors are not proactive and zzzzzzzzzzzzzz... collect their directors fees and not think of shareholders. Sickening. Look at all the other furniture counters... Lii Hen, Poh Huat, Hevea have all moved. Lastly they give a miserable div yearly and expect shareholders to be happy.

In 2013 it paid 188. A bonus of 1:10 or 1:5 would have been more welcome. Its NTA is rm11.83. Can easily give bonus or split and make the share more liquid. Same with Latitude. At least Hevea is making a move to split it rm1 share into 4. It was 2.80 at the time of proposal. Now up to 3.65. Directors only sleeping & enjoying directors fees yearly

Looks like their final div has been 35 sen. Only the special div will make a diff. in 2013 was rm1.38, in 2014 was 23 sen. So for 2015 ????????

Still waiting for bonus or increase in div. Think company not keen to enlarge paid up as our rm to yen low.

Ex date will be sometime in August as ex for div 2/7 and payment of div 3/8. the split (c operate exercise) will be after that

The bonus will only happen after 3/7, as the Ex date for div of.0025sen is 3/7. Need to wait for another 1 month guys for bonus to happen

Thanks guys for a very eye opening and enlightening morning. Though many of the abbreviation in the Fin reports I cant understand, I still enjoyed reading through. I am a very small time investor and with limited resources. I have to thank KC for recommending furniture stocks & after reading through his report, I picked Latitude and bought in March 2014 with a very small investment. I did like the other furniture stocks too, but capital was my problem. Anyway thanks to all of u this morning and also Mr. Koon who brought out the best here for all of us to learn in this discussion
