is it true that osk188 charges only 0.1% for online brokerage fees for cash upfront? i went to the website of osk188 and saw that it says all online brokerage fees is subjected to a standard of 0.42%? help pls
Update: We will fully reimburse all CDS transfer fees for client who transfer their porfolio to us. (inclusive Suspended, Delisted Counters and stocks listed in selected overseas exchanges eg. Singapore, HongKong and USA)
Jason, which firm are you refering to? Is yr trading platform for MacOS having the same full features as the Windows platform, or is just a simplified tunedown version? Thanks.
I'm using Hong Leong eBroking and I also have other brokerage accounts. I still think Hong Leong is the best with its 0.1% fees and excellent technical/customer support.
Based on experience shared by others, sometimes cheaper fees is not always better.
At first thinking to open trading account with ECM, but after reading these, i need to consider other broker now. Anyone tried CIMB Click? They offers 0.0388% and i am thinking to open account with them.
I am using itrade and now rhb, charting wise rhbinvest is better. I think unless the website has problem, else technical support is redundant. Anyone else can recommend a cheaper place. Only after I register with RHBinvest, I found out from the people here there are cheaper rate elsewhere.
Decided to join ECM. But, Now with the feedback provided, I am reconsidered others. Thanks for the feedback and we should provide such feedback more to help the small investor to select the right investment house.
Hey, how many of you switch brokerage accounts in the past? Personally I've switched from OSK to Hong Leong bank. The process was quite simple and fast, and HL bank paid the switching fees to transfer my stocks over.
I have to agree with many of you here that Hong Leong's support is really fast and good. It is worthy of its 5 stars rating here!
Previously I was also considering opening a new account with another broker because of its "lowest" fee. But since there are so many negative comments on them, I will hold back and stick to my current broker for now.
HL cash up front is cheap but collateral still considered expensive when compared to ECM and Jupiter. For those who play contra paying 0.38% or 0.42% ends up being very costly, I calculate my savings is easily more than 1K by using ECM. Right now I am with Jupiter but want to have access to mobile trading so going to sign up with ECM.
I opened iTrade@cimb lately and wanted to trade a stock worth RM11,400 yesterday but was shocked to find out from the trading platform that the net transaction costs is closed to RM94.62. No breakdown was given. I worked out myself that excluding the RM3.42 clearing fee and RM11.40 stamp duty, the brokerage fee would be RM79.80 or 0.7% and not 0.42% as above or communicated earlier. Can anyone explain why?
Hi David, I use iTrade too. I too started with the same fee. After sometime especially with decent volume, my dealer reduced to 0.3% automatically. Talk to your dealer. Cheers.
Thanks for the advice, I would have gone for HL but their collateral rate is too high compared to ECM and Jupiter. I think they are not really specializing in collateral, in their own website also never show the rate or even mention that it is available.
It took me two hours plus just to find out the correct info. Call center lady told me 2x Cash 2x Share which is in fact the wrong rate. Luckily I receive email back from their helpdesk telling me the actual rate is 2x Cash and 1x Share. Finally I call back their call center to confirm and they said the one from email is correct rate. I don't know why they can't just post this info in their website so that we don't have to waste time to call and email them.
Anyways, I did online registration for ECM they gave me free trial account while waiting for me to submit the documents. Platform seems alright its the same as Jupiter one, HL apparently also using this same platform called Excel Force.
Most of Malaysian broking firm--but not all--either use N2N or ExcelForce service provider. Both N2N and ExcelForce have their pros and cons. Speaking about ease of use, is's depends on what platform we're using. i.e. most--but not all--ExcelForce products only working on Internet Explorer, while N2N working on most--but not all--internet browser i.e. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc. Speaking about portability, both--N2N and ExcelForce--are working from various of devices i.e. Java enabled phone, smartphone, iphone, ipad, android, etc.
Alliance Investment Bank launch a ZERO Brokerage promotion during their Bursa Market Chat in Melaka recently on 12/4/12 and the response was overwhelming
I am using Ecmoney and OSK88, good platforms and features, so far no issue with them. why the rating for OSK is so low... Newbie should sign up and check out the features and offerings to do comparison.
Thanks winsun88 and mrKOK3N, I have looked at both HLe and ecmoney and I like Ecmoney better. Winsun88, can I use my samsung galaxy note (adroid) to download the trading software and trade using it?
no. am not from alliance but because of i3 list of bursa roadshow earlier i went to one of the road show which says amsecurities but when i arrived it was alliance. but i still stay on and toward the end of the event they even offer zero brokerage.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
