How would you estimate the impact on the profit with the strenghening USD? If they have hedged 50% only, every 10% increase in USD would reduce profit by RM1.25m (50% of RM2.5m). USD has strengthened about 30% so the impact may be RM3.75m. Not sure if it's prudent to assume as CAGR of 7%.

with the weaker ringgit vs dollar, many companies are scaling back their IT purchases.

John, the message I want to carry out was strengthening of USD will have impact on this company. CAGR can be set differently, but the first 2 quarters of FY15, ECS was still doing better than expectation, so I just put 7%.

Skyz, haha it is just an example. I do not own this stock and I also will not buy in at this moment. No positive catalyst.

weakening ringgit + deteriorating economy + poorer consumer spending = less spending on ICT

Less spending on ICT? I doubt. Just look at how our adorable Malaysian queuing up at the mall before sunshine for the so called latest smartphone. ICT are already indispensable to people's life and business.

There may be a possibility that ECS will declare bonus issue 1 for 2 for the next coming 4Q 2015
