There is a world of difference between spiritualism and religious.....one follow socratic method.....endless exploring with curiosity, questioning and actively seeking truth........
.....the other one is about accepting the ideology......submission to the indoctrination.......being passive
.......although in the long run.....the impact on the outward journey in life could be a paradoxically 'aggressive' one though

The essence of Buddhism is 'non-attachment'... ==========
go and read the book linked .....its unbelievable scholarship and hard work with lots of references, index, bibiography....got to be someone very attached.
There's no Chinese, Indian, European, Japan or other Buddhism. It's only a name but practice is the same. Mahayana or Theraveda Buddhism is basically the same but different levels of awareness (enlightenment).

They exist literally...........as a saying goes "Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful"

Wat the heck! this brainless 3q is so free nothing to do kept talking about rubbish. Buddhism originated from India, they themselves don't even believe in it. U no head damn fool, come n blah in business forum. =========
some of the best traders call themselves Zen traders....then how?
The wise man is one who knows what he does not know. The further one goes, the less one knows. Those who truly know do not speak. Those who speak do not know. The problem with the world is fools are so certain of themselves while the wise are full of doubts. You guys can carry on talking.
I like this unpredictable's comment very much... quote*** The wise man is one who knows what he does not know. The further one goes, the less one knows. Those who truly know do not speak. hahaha, I like you view EngineeringProfit. How old are you now ?
"Simple example........one understand and has knowledge of the whole volume of encyclopedia of the 21st century
........vs the other who has spent his childhood memorizing archaic scripts
Which one you think will have less stress and less chance of mental breakdown.......facing the current fast-changing world"
The above one contains hard truth. The religion was suppose to be simple but humans/mortal beings make it so complicated. It is always simple in the beginning until humans make it complicated to their exploitation.
Hahahaha, Quack accountant not working for 20 years become so free with reflex of a panther to catch “Sendai” dead cat bounce.
Philosophy is I do not know, so I use reasons in understanding. Religion is I do not know so I suspend my reasoning and I believe.
Non-attachment is seeing all religions in Buddha image. (The universal value)
You can call yourself Buddhist if you practice any one of the below: 1. Right view: Viewing reality as it is, not just as it appears with emotional bias. 2. Right intention. Peaceful, loving-kindness, harmlessness and ethical conduct: 3. Right speech/writing: Speaking/writing in a truthful way to unite not divide and non-hateful, non-deceitful way. 4. Right action: Acting in a non-harmful way. 5. Right livelihood: A non-harmful livelihood and take good care of those under your care. 6. Right effort: Guard against sensual thoughts and making an effort to improve. 7. Right mindfulness: Being aware of the present reality within oneself, without any craving or aversion 8. Right concentration: Correct meditation or concentration.
So quack accountant you had fulfilled how many of above?
