Do you know that there is a very big land area beside sea of japan, bordering russia. This land is called the outer manchuria, is in the hand of Russia due to certain treaty after the qing dynasty lose in certain war to russia. This areas was never returned to China and china had signed a treaty , so they won't be claiming this area, so is lost forever. Only British and the Portuguese gave back HK and Macau. But I think one of the reason why British and Portuguese gave back was bcoz these territories couldn't be defended due to their location but the outer manchuria was beside russia and russia a powerhouse, so that territory grabbed by russia could be defended

CCP is being too ambitious in overtaking US for the past few years. China wants to reduce the influence of USD in the world by using RMB for buying commodity especially crude oil from Arab and Rusia.
