I don't think Grandpa Koon understand about vaccine! Pharma buy Sinovac in bulk and then fill and finish it here! It's the most cost effective way to deal with vaccine! Malaysia buy them in huge tanks and after reaching Malaysia, Pharma put them in this little bottles! Pharma has the facility to do fill and finish! Government cannot afford to set up the whole thing just for Covid vaccine! It's just too expensive!
If you buy direct from China, imagine how many little bottles with special fridge just to bring them in! Again, very expensive!
Those millions donated by US and Japan are very expensive! Fortunately, this 2 million doses are free! The cost borne by US and Japan!
Initially, the mass vaccination was very slow! However, this month we have 14 million doses!
The only complaint is that Selangor is doing lousy job in vaccinating! Selangor has pile of vaccine doing nothing store somewhere!
Blame lies with MB of Selangor! And also Harapan especially Anwar! What is Anwar doing about it! He should sack MB of Selangor and appoint effective one since Selangor is under PKR!

Of course the Federal Govt mah!
They are in charge of ;
1. Ministry of Health
2. The Police
3. The Vaccine Procurement & allocations loh!
4. The Policy to combat covid
What can selangor in charge leh ?
Very minor city council or majlis mah!
Lu pakai otak & think lah!
U tell me which other state in Msia try to procure their own vaccines using its own monies & give free covid19 test to their people leh ?
Ans ; It is Selangor & Penang only mah!
The rest of msian states take no initiatives just hitch on a free ride on the federal govt even their response are slow loh..!!
Sarawak even worse arm twist the federal govt to get biggest allocations at the expense of other states getting less loh!
Thus Selangor initiative cannot be faulted...but initially selangor procurement of vaccine was even hindered by Federal Govt....but with determination Selangor pursue further to protect their people lives...finally the Useless Govt relented....bcos the federal govt cannot continue to argue when the objective is to protect human lives mah!
Stop listening to fake bad mouthing of selangor done by political lackey like tobby mah, the high cases of selangor are actually due to poor covid mismanagement of the federal govt loh
This all bcos of PN Federal Govt mismanagement delaying the vaccine procurement & also allocating less vaccine to the most populous and the most successful of msia the state selangor in order to play politics mah!
Thumbs up for selangor & Penang determinations for taking the initiatives loh!
Thus must blame Federal Govt loh!

There is no fatest way to combat covid-19 as there is no 'hard and fast rule' to it and vaccines all are on trial basis. Critically, covid-19 is new to mankind. It is difficult to determine 'the standard' used in combating covid-19 and same applies to determine whether government has failed to combat covid-19. In my though, i would suggest to enforce lockdowns and at the same time to allow factories to continue operations on conditions that all workers are vaccinated. This is ensure that lockdowns would not detriment to the economy.

KYY is right on the purchase Sinovac vaccine for faster rollout of vaccination to Malaysians.
Chile and Malaysia are in quite similar dire situation where daily covid cases spike to 6000-8000 cases a day (Chile in Apr-Jun, Malaysia in May-Jul).
Since end of June, Chile's new cases have dropped below 3000 per day.
Questions were asked on Chile's success on vacccinating so many people?
Answer : One is the storage method, undoubtedly. Pfizer requires storage in super cold units that keep at -70 degrees, which in Chile we do not have. Chile’s territory also brings limitations – it is a very long country. Sinovac’s vaccine requires very simple storage mechanisms from 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, helping it be dispatched across the country without a problem.
Two, Sinovac is readily available and all vaccines are on Phase 3 trials and for Emergency Use. The objective is to save lives and not to select vaccines for travel purposes for those going to the East or to the West. There will be more booster doses every year to improves efficacy against variants.
I like what KYY writes.... simply correct about Sinovac, women and pineapple, but sometimes wayoff on Jaks, Hengyuan, Dayang, Supermax, margin trading, etc.
