Take 1.7 million and multiply by minimum monthly salary of RM1500.

Minimum cost to feed these parasites RM 2.56 Billion per month or ~~~RM 30 Billion annually.

We are now a failing nation, period. Corruption and laziness is killing us all.

Anyone can manage better. Malaysia is an easy country to manage. If you are not racist and protectionist, you can manage it very well.

Our civil service is total burden to our national financial system! Government spend 1/3 on civil service alone! What's the point! Rakyat are getting half bake service!
But because of political reason, politicians especially those in Umno keep hiring more and more thinking it will buy them votes! But Harapan too didn't bother to take the necessary action because they too are afraid civil servants will not vote for them!
Malaysia is a doom nation! More and more local chinese especially the youth making their way out quietly!
There's no point trying to savage Malaysia! Both Harapan and BN PN Whatever, are not the right leaders to govern us! Period!

One old friend is growing older and older.

One morning when he had returned from the town, he placed his lunch box on his favourite table at the family hall. He purchased his lunch after having his breakfast at the coffee shop.

Upon entering his 2-storey terrace house, on the table, there were chili sauce and ketchup in the bottles stand next to the forks & spoons that are stored in a container. Save the walking distance to the kitchen. There is one computer next to those items.

Newspapers for days were staking up on the same table. Next to the table, one couch facing the TV and he has one microwave on a chair that could help heat up his lunch. A washing basin/facility is 2 meters away from the comfort of his "office". Save the time from cooking for his meal - meddling with the cooking stove and washing the utensils.

What can we learn from his strategy/approach?

The efficiencies (productivity) of the people do not depend on the big/tall houses with , huge kitchen, large land, plenty of natural resources by the seaside/ocean. Rather, the difference surely is depending on the planning /intelligence of the rakyats.

British came and extract all the natural resources of other nations! But the war bankrupt Great Britain!
So the British too face changing era! That's why British let go of her colonies!
Yeah, sure, British bought progress to many of her colonies! But those were the days! US bought destruction, when US tried to replicate British!
Problem is US was using the wrong tool! War is not the best way to gain control! Instead British negotiated their way into colonies!
And now we have China! Will China bring progress to other nations! Wait and see!

When the king of that nation was having a meeting with all the ministers, no one can explain daringly and clearly why the wealth of the nation is worsening. The were taxes being collected from the citizens throughout the lands.

So, one smart minister in the meeting room was willing to use his story telling skill to make it easy for the king to understand...

We need to be careful about the definition when comparing the "civil service" in different countries. For instance, in the UK if I am not mistaken, the army, the police, the national health service are not included as part of the civil service. So it is necessary to be extra carefull when making claims not based on verifiable facts...It seem to be very prevalent among certain bloggers on this site..

The smart minister asked the "kakak" to bring one chunk of ice from the refrigerator at the pantry.

The "kakak" gave the chunk of ice to the smart minister. He began to uphold it with both of his hands before passing it to the the next minister. As the chunk of ice being passed around from one minister, at the big round table, until the last minister who was sitting next to the king, the ice have melted much leaving a small size the ice.

Then the king is aware why the balance of the money in the coffer left with very little.

KYK needed to take care when making allegations against people and countries...He should ask his people to double check his figures..on whether they are accurate, up-to-date etc. Personally, I feel the topic he has chosen sounds highly patroitic (to malaysia) and said in an extremely carefree and careless manner..It is upsetting

The unemployment rate would be even higher (esp grraduate>) if we have a smaller civil servant workforce???

A slip...what i meant was KYK words used in his article sounds highly unpatroitic (to Malaysia). It is not responsible to wrongly interprete figures and assign blame/criticism to countries..

We have 1.71 million civil servants for 32 million people. Practically all the civil servants are Malays. We have 1 civil servant for every 18 people.

Answer : Yes, this is very true! In fact nowadays, you hardly see any non malays in civil service! I have talk about this many times! Civil service is nothing more than a malay institution! But it's failling us badly! Services are below par! Take JPJ for example, it only took me less than 5 minutes to get my road tax done in Pos Malaysia branch! Usually it takes me one hour in JPJ branch! Reason is very clear! Performance is below par! Bad attitude due to bad internal politics! In the end, civil service is full of mediocre workers wasting their time dreaming of retiring with fat pension!

I believe, it's better to close down JPJ branches or cut staff by 60% and replace them with multiracial contract workers! Cheaper and don't need to pay pension! Or else just give it all to Pos Malaysia to handle!

Same with other government agencies! We really don't one milion of them! Sufficient to have half a million! Our civil service simply a complete waste of national financial resources!
