ROE or return on equity or return on net worth.
If you growth your net worth yearly then your ROE will show negative growth but your growth in equity/net worth is used to grow the business/revenue and at the same time your good management able to maintain the NP margin.

So if Insas is to distribute all their retain profit then the net worth will drop and the ROE will just shoot thro' the roof.

The net worth/equity will be the same year after year if you give out all your yearly profit as dividend. But a growth company will retain some profit (growth the net worth/equity) to grow the business/revenue.

Year 2023 PBB share price RM3.85
A drop of 18%.
In comparison to i3licker's calculation of 2013 to 2023, a drop of ROE of 38%.
Obviously the share price at time of purchase and the number of years SSlee has been holding PBB share are ignored.
