China has taken steps to rehabilitate Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang:
Economic Development: China has implemented a series of economic development projects in Xinjiang, aimed at reducing poverty and improving the living conditions of the Uighur population. These initiatives provide jobs, education, and skills training, which can empower individuals and communities.
Counterterrorism Measures: China asserts that it has taken proactive measures to counteract terrorism and extremism in the region, which includes initiatives to prevent radicalization and maintain social stability.
Vocational Training Centers: China has established vocational training centers to provide education and vocational skills to Uighurs. Proponents argue that these centers are aimed at helping individuals gain employment opportunities and move away from extremist ideologies.
Improved Infrastructure: Infrastructure development in Xinjiang is said to have improved the overall living conditions, including better healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and access to clean water and electricity.
Poverty Alleviation: Through its poverty alleviation programs, China claims to have significantly reduced the poverty rate among Uighur communities in Xinjiang.
Cultural Preservation: China has emphasized the preservation and promotion of Uighur culture, language, and traditions through various initiatives.
Stability and Security: Proponents argue that these measures have led to increased stability and security in Xinjiang, reducing the risk of extremism and violence.
It's important to note that these points represent the perspective of proponents of China's actions in Xinjiang. This topic is highly contentious, and critics have raised concerns about human rights abuses, mass detentions, and forced labor in the region. The situation is complex, and it's essential to consider various viewpoints and sources when discussing it.
Mao and the CCP has far better relations with the minority tribes than the kmt...it is well known that the minorities play a big role in the CCP victory during the revolution
Some other places are worse. You'll see the gomen there funding institutions to force people to convert to their faith. And stop them from leaving. FOrcing to believe something when one try to be honestly not believing. Depends how you define cruelty. Depends on your moral compass. Humanity etc etc
It's worth noting that while certain situations may be concerning, there are other places in the world where the government's actions are even more extreme and troubling. In some instances, governments provide financial support to institutions that actively coerce individuals into adopting a specific faith, and they go to great lengths to prevent people from leaving that belief system. This sort of coercion can be deeply unsettling, particularly for those who wish to be true to their own beliefs and convictions.
When it comes to defining cruelty, it can be a complex matter that hinges on individual perspectives and moral values. The way we perceive cruelty is often influenced by our own moral compass, our sense of humanity, and our personal principles. What might be considered cruel in one context may not necessarily be viewed the same way in another, underscoring the importance of recognizing the subjectivity and diversity of human values and ethical standards.
Ultimately, these nuanced discussions underscore the significance of empathy, tolerance, and open dialogue as we grapple with issues of faith, belief, and individual freedom. Poor school children in these countries- will suffer more in the near future with IR 5.0
and this round of escalation inPalestine is not just emotional. I believe it is part off a detailed strategic plan to win. Timing is right and I believe the Palestinians will achieve their objectives.
In summary race relations is a success story in China....actually far more harmonious in China than in America
back to xinjiang. It is very well governed And over the last 10 years, Xinjiang's growth beats the national average and the whole province is doing very well and the people's lifes are doing very well.
Exactly. Left alone they could have failed to catch up with the rest of China or the world. Not progressing, mean regressing. Could have regressed to become what Zionists label as human animals.
western media lies on Xinjiang is born of american arrogance and american unipolar world and its all lies.
no logics, no cause and effects, no evidence, no reason for the government to be guilty,
all just a bunch of BS ....yet Biden choose to double down on it to achieve Biden's strategic goals..............That is very immoral for Biden as he should know better.
UN Member Countries Condemn China’s Crimes Against Humanity More than 50 Join Declaration on Human Rights Violations in Xinjiang
Fifty-one United Nations member countries have issued a joint declaration condemning the Chinese government’s crimes against humanity committed against Uyghurs and other Turkic communities, and calling on Beijing to end its systematic human rights abuses in the Xinjiang region.
The cross-regional statement, delivered to the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee by Britain’s Deputy Permanent Representative James Kariuki on October 18, said: “Members of Uyghur and other predominantly Muslim minorities in Xinjiang continue to suffer serious violations of their human rights.”
The statement quoted the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights’ damning August 2022 report on Xinjiang, which concluded that the abuses were so severe and widespread that they “may constitute international crimes, in particular crimes against humanity.”
The UN report corroborated the findings of Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and others regarding mass detention, torture, cultural persecution, forced labor, and other serious rights violations against Turkic Muslim communities in Xinjiang.
The statement’s signatories include Britain, the US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Eswatini, Liberia, Guatemala, Paraguay, Fiji, Nauru, Palau, and others.
The statement noted that the UN high commissioner, Volker Türk, recently urged Beijing to follow the recommendations of his office’s 2022 report and take “strong remedial action,” which China has yet to do.
Human Rights Watch has urged Türk and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to work together to ensure follow-up to the 2022 Xinjiang report, including continued gathering of evidence of serious abuses and reporting to member states.
As usual, China found a sympathetic delegation to issue a statement of support. This year, Pakistan read a joint statement to the Third Committee, insisting the situation in Xinjiang, Hong Kong, and Tibet was China’s “internal affairs” and opposing the “politicization of human rights.” China’s UN delegation said that 72 countries backed that statement, though in past years Beijing has included countries that were unaware they were listed as signatories.
UN members should use every opportunity to raise Beijing’s appalling human rights abuses in Xinjiang, Tibet, Hong Kong, and elsewhere in China. They should mobilize support for a formal UN investigation into abuses in Xinjiang. And Türk and Guterres should regularly update UN delegations on human rights in China. An update from the UN on Xinjiang is long overdue.
Open your eyes and see how advance the people there now. They don't live in the past any more. Very forward looking, Why your mind got you stucked in time in the past??????????????
Western media reports lack substantiated evidence and may be biased or exaggerated. Some of the points raised by those who question these accusations include:
Lack of Independent Verification: Critics argue that much of the information regarding the mistreatment of Uighur Muslims is based on sources that are difficult to independently verify. They contend that Western media relies on uncorroborated accounts and may not have direct access to Xinjiang.
Discrepancies in Numbers: Some skeptics suggest that there are inconsistencies in the reported numbers of detained individuals and the extent of alleged mistreatment. They question the reliability of these figures and whether they have been verified.
China's Economic Development Claims: China has argued that it is implementing poverty alleviation and vocational training programs in Xinjiang, which proponents say are aimed at improving the well-being of Uighurs. They contend that these efforts have contributed to significant progress in the region.
Geopolitical Motivations: Critics of Western media reports on Xinjiang argue that they may be driven by geopolitical considerations and international tensions. They suggest that these reports could be influenced by political agendas.
Many international organizations, governments, and human rights groups have expressed concerns about the treatment of Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang, while China continues to assert that its actions in the region are necessary for stability and counterterrorism. The matter remains the subject of ongoing international debate and scrutiny.

India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines and Taiwan reject China's new 'controversial' map, release statements New DelhiEdited By: Abhinav SinghUpdated: Sep 01, 2023, 11:43 AM IST
China continues to receive brute criticism from countries that were antagonised after its Ministry of Natural Resources released the controversial map. On Friday (September 1), Vietnam also released a statement saying the map violates its sovereignty over the Spratly and Paracel Islands and jurisdiction over its waters.
It was India that first called out China for the release of the map. During a media interaction, India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishnkar pointed out it wasn't the first time China had come out with a similar move.
"It's an old habit of theirs. These (territories) are very much part of India. This government is very clear what our territories are. Making absurd claims doesn't make others territories yours," the minister was quoted as saying by NDTV.
Philippines Meanwhile, the Filipino Department of Foreign Affairs said the 2023 edition map is China's latest attempt "to legitimise purported sovereignty and jurisdiction over Philippine features and maritime zones" and "has no basis under international law, particularly the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)".

Taiwan Asked about the map, Taiwanese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jeff Liu said Taiwan was “absolutely not a part of the People’s Republic of China.”
“No matter how the Chinese government twists its position on Taiwan’s sovereignty, it cannot change the objective fact of our country’s existence," he said in a press briefing.
Malaysia The Malaysian Foreign Ministry in a statement said the new map holds no binding authority over the country, which “also views the South China Sea as a complex and sensitive matter.”
Despite criticism from all sides, Beijing maintained its arrogant attitude and asked the neighbouring countries to refrain from 'over-interpreting' the map.
“On August 28, the Ministry of Natural Resources of China released the 2023 edition of the standard map. It is a routine practice in China’s exercise of sovereignty in accordance with the law. We hope relevant sides can stay objective and calm, and refrain from over-interpreting the issue,” Wang Wenbin, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson, was quoted as saying when asked about India’s protest.
Pham Thu Hang, the spokesperson for Vietnam's foreign affairs ministry, said China's sovereignty and maritime claims based on the nine-dash line were "invalid", adding that his country "resolutely opposes all China's claims in the South China Sea based on the dotted line".

QUote: ".........More cosmopolitan, more accepting of various culture, , less dogmatic...."
Anyone who is not hypocrisy has a foremost responsibility to condemn extremism. Middle path is the way to eternal peace, harmony and prosperity ==========
yes and no..................but the wisest are the Chinese. The Chinese do not wish to interfere into anybody's affairs unless it affects China internal affairs. The starting point and also the objective of China is mutual respect and win win..............
the starting point of american culture is finger pointing, Keep wagging their fingers, u must be this u must be that. That is the Christian way, not the Chinese way.
Philippines accuses China of ‘dangerous manoeuvres’ in South China Sea The latest incident took place near Thitu Island, which was occupied by the Philippines in the 1970s and is home to about 400 people.
The Philippines has accused China of conducting “dangerous manoeuvres” in the disputed South China Sea after a Chinese navy ship shadowed a Philippine navy vessel and tried to cross its path.
The Philippines said the incident took place on October 13 near Thitu Island, known as Pag-asa Island in the Philippines, after the BRP Benguet issued a radio warning to the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) Ship 621.

It takes a Chinese to know Chinese minds.
There is nothing in Chinese culture, mindset, that mistreats uighers based on race or religion
