Repost:

Hi Calvin,

I am not familiar with HDD and SSD production and its components.
Would you help to explain whether the highest capacity NAND flash memory new die would increases or decreases the number (units) of SSD production?
Thank you.

I think the best persons to answer your question is to call up person-in-charge for PR of Jcy tomorrow when they office open

Thank you
Already know Jcy said they shipped extra HDD/SSD by 3%

but profit is up due to higher quality and higher value by extra 22%
As Western Digital go upscale it will definitely benefit Jcy more as it is also into SSD manufacturing

Volume shipped increased by
3%

But gain in extra Value by 22%

this is very opposite from the law of diminishing returns experience by Yinson
the more they sell the less they get

for Jcy the less they sell already more profit

if Jcy scale up production ?

Profits can go 🚀 🚀 🚀

The NAND flash chips used in today’s SSDs usually contain several dies in one package. For example, our current favorite budget SSD, the 2TB WD Blue SN580, has one chip package containing 16 1Tb (128GB) dies. Bump that die capacity up to 2Tb, and the same structure would give you 4TB in a single chip.

*********
Is this also mean that WD is able to make one (1) piece of SSD in the future with the same capacity for two (2) pieces of SSD at present?

Could be
they can make them smaller but with higher technology they will be able to miniaturize and pack even more capacity

that is how doing less for more

Goldberg

set your sight further

KEC int only got smallish jobs
Transgrid Ventures won many big jobs including Menara 118 the Tallest Building in Malaysia

when you catch fish don't go for anchovies but grouper or blue fin tuna

"smaller but with higher technology they will be able to miniaturize and pack even more capacity"

********
Exactly, so higher capacity is applied to the more advance memory chip for smaller SSD in size, so it would not increase the number of SSD to be produced.

Exactly

Do only 3% extra work
earn extra profit by 22%

so Jcy now 7 time more productive

at this rate it will play catch up with Nvidia earning 74% profit from every sale

and since HDD/SSD production is very labour intensive the savings from manpower will amplify the profits

Western Digital. The company, often known as WD, unveiled an industry first at a recent investor’s conference, showing off a high-capacity memory die that’s dwarfed by a human fingertip.

This is a new technology

Will need substantial new investment of many millions RM

Existing SSD HDD machinery will be rendered obsolete

Obsolete and will b impaired to RM 0 written off

There is a time factor for change
Hdd first started by Ibm in year 1956 or 68 years ago to see change

You will be most probably be over 100 years old before Hdd/Ssd is phased out

I think better put off your unnecessary as even now Seagate and Western Digital don't have enough Hdd/Ssd parts and already raised prices by 20% and will increase more and more
So don't just talk and let the superbull run away

Theta Edge partners India’s KEC International to bid for TNB grid projects

heedgemalaysia.com

KUALA LUMPUR : Theta Edge Bhd said it has teamed up with India-based power transmission giant KEC International Ltd in bidding for Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s (TNB) future grid projects.
The information technology services provider said it inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KEC International and its Malaysian unit KEC International (M) Sdn Bhd (KEC Malaysia) to submit a contractor prequalification assessment related to grid infrastructure work via a joint venture partnership.

Under the MOU, the parties intend to submit their application for prequalification and appoint either KEC International or KEC Malaysia as the subcontractor to Theta Edge for providing supply and installation solutions for power transmission infrastructure.

No strong ones that i know of
Average to below average are Jt group and Mn holding
Both with less cash and less assets than Hexcap have been chased up too high
Only Hexcap is the laggard with more value

RM 90 billion capex is a huge,
say 20% awarded to Transgrid = 90 billion x 20% = RM 18 billion in 6 years
Hexcap owned 49% of the Transgrid = RM 18 billion x 49% = RM 8.82 billion
Assumpt the profit margin is 18% = RM 8.82 billion x 18% = RM 1.59 billion profit before tax
RM 1.59b divided by 6 years = RM 265 million profit annually

RM 265 million / 447 million NOS = RM 0.59/ share

RM 0.59 x 10 PE = RM 5.90

For Transgrid One Engine, exclude Opcom, Binacom
