Harmony, by definition, is about balance, peace, and mutual respect. Radicalization, on the other hand, thrives on division, extremism, and intolerance. It fosters an environment where violence is justified, diversity is suppressed, and dialogue is shut down. In such an environment, the possibility of harmony is destroyed. Therefore, for a society to maintain harmony, it must actively work against radicalization by promoting inclusivity, dialogue, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts. Without addressing the roots of radicalization, true harmony cannot be achieved or sustained.
Radical ideologies often seek to impose a singular, rigid worldview on society, rejecting the diversity of thought, belief, and culture that is essential for harmony. This imposition can lead to the suppression of minority voices and the marginalization of entire communities.
5. Brainwashing and Cult-like Behavior: Enforcing strict adherence to radical beliefs, often through psychological manipulation and isolation from dissenting views.
8. Undermining Democracy: Attempting to overthrow or subvert democratic institutions and replace them with authoritarian or theocratic rule aligned with radical ideologies.
13. Subversion of Education Radical Indoctrination in Schools: Infiltrating educational institutions to spread radical ideologies and indoctrinate students. Manipulation of Curriculum: Altering educational content to reflect radical beliefs, often erasing or distorting historical facts.
Olympic champions dedicate themselves to rigorous training, discipline, and personal improvement. Their focus is on achieving peak physical and mental performance within the rules of their sport, not on promoting extremist ideologies or engaging in harmful activities. Positive Role Models: Olympic athletes often serve as role models, inspiring others to pursue healthy lifestyles, overcome obstacles, and strive for excellence. Their influence is positive and uplifting, unlike radicals who seek to divide or harm.
They play by the sport spirit. The Olympic Games celebrate sportsmanship, respect for opponents, and international unity. This is in stark contrast to the divisive and often violent nature of radicalism.
The Olympics are a platform where athletes from different cultures, religions, and nationalities come together, celebrating diversity rather than pushing a singular, exclusionary agenda.
Olympic champions contribute to society by promoting physical fitness, mental resilience, and the importance of dedication and perseverance. Their achievements inspire others to strive for greatness, in stark contrast to radicals who often seek to undermine or destroy societal structures.
The Olympic motto of "Citius, Altius, Fortius" (Faster, Higher, Stronger) reflects a commitment to pushing human limits in a positive way, aiming for self-improvement and respect for others. Radicalism, on the other hand, often seeks to impose one’s beliefs on others, disregarding their rights and well-being. Non-Political Nature of the Olympics: While individual athletes may have personal beliefs, the Olympics as an institution is non-political and non-radical. The Games aim to transcend political divides and bring people together in peaceful competition.
Understand this - Olympic champions are passionate about their sport and their goals, but passion alone does not equate to radicalism. Radicalism involves an extreme, uncompromising approach that often leads to conflict or harm, whereas passion in sports is channeled positively to achieve excellence and inspire others.
Olympic Champions Are Not Radicals: Olympic champions embody the pursuit of excellence, fairness, and unity. They work within established rules and systems, striving to achieve personal and athletic goals while promoting peace and respect. Radicalism, by contrast, involves extreme, often destructive behavior aimed at disrupting or overthrowing established norms. Therefore, it is incorrect and misleading to label Olympic champions as radicals. They represent the best of human potential, not the divisive and harmful tendencies associated with radicalism.
and the biggest risk facing Europe is too many muslims in europe.
but this is some thing they do to themselves because of the legacy from Imperialisms and the many wars due to the wars on terror creating refugees from Islamic countries. This is 100 years in the making and is call karma.
world trend is not heading towards islamic radicalisation . Not in malaysia , not in europe , not in USA. It is a false risk.

look at the liberal democracies, where got harmony?" ========================================
It is the beauty of democracy to allow liberals to protest which is absent in communist, dictatorial or authoritarian political system. The universe itself is based on chaos.

u can live in chaos. I prefer to live with harmony.
While religion as a personal value can contribute to individual and societal harmony, its use as a tool for propagation and domination would inevitably leads to division and conflict. Hence the key to maintaining harmony lies in respecting religion as a deeply personal aspect of human life, rather than a force, value or practice to be imposed on others.
When religion metastasizes beyond personal belief and becomes entangled with political and social power, it would definitely being exploited by leaders to control populations and suppress dissent (sapiens always fail to learn this key lesson from history!). This fusion of religion with authority would result in the suppression of freedoms, such as freedom of thought, expression, and religion itself. It also paves the way for the imposition of religious laws on the entire populace, regardless of their personal beliefs, leading to resentment and resistance.
Yup, there are way too many dark sides of proselytisation.
1. Coercion and Manipulation: Proselytisation involves coercion, where individuals are pressured or manipulated into converting. This is be done through emotional manipulation, social pressure, or even threats. In many occasions, vulnerable individuals, such as those in poverty or distress, have been targeted, exploited and offered aid or support only if they agree to convert.
2. Local Tradition, Historocal Roots and Cultural Erosion and Elimination: When proselytisation is aggressive, it leads to the erosion of local cultures and traditions. Indigenous beliefs, creeds and customs are overshadowed or replaced by the beliefs of distant origin being promoted, leading to a loss of cultural diversity and identity. This has happened historically in many SEA regions where missionaries have actively sought to convert entire communities, often with the backing of ruling powers.
3. Social Division and Conflict: Proselytisation creates or exacerbates social divisions. When one group actively seeks to convert another, it leads to resentment, tension, and even violence between different religious or cultural communities. This has been seen in various parts of the world, where proselytisation efforts have sparked religious conflicts and civil unrest. And this is what many school teachers fail the children in the history class by not pointing out this key learning point.
On rationality, sensibility, sanity and common sense
4. Violation of Religious Freedom: Aggressive proselytisation naturally violates the principle of religious freedom. Individuals should have the right to choose their own beliefs without undue influence or pressure. When proselytisation crosses the line into coercion or manipulation, it undermines this fundamental right.

Change the term to radicalization. With radicalization, harmony cannot be achieved.
