They were suppressing the share price. The closing Orion price was the basis of the new issuance, and, forms the acquisition scheme via exchange of shares.

They hold the price to entice the mine owner to accept the share exchange n possible price gain. I think they knew abt the value of the reserve. Now they entitled for the prod n sales of the mine’s mineral

Not all mine owner hv the capital to dev n extract the mineral. Usually the ownership of the production is the sticky part which is now they hv resolved it. If the owner got some sort of share issuance in other way they also wl share any future profit frm the mine n not one off payment.

As per 22/5/20 announcement:

" Enrich hereby represents to the Company that the estimated mineral reserves in the
Gossan Hill area is targeted to be approximately United States of America Dollar
(“USD”)170,000,000 (or approximately RM739,925,000 based on exchange rate of
RM4.3525 : USD1 as at 22 May 2020);"

There are 4 other area nearby to be explored and Gossan Hill is the first concession.

There is a difference between (1) exploring, and (2) extraction of gold reserves. Exploring is risky. Proven gold reserves is about mining and extraction of deposits. What is Orion?

Orion is where the funding is. Enrich is the owner n Senor Alluvial Gold Mining is the operator. Same as for Bornoil but Orion has one step further

the cost of gold exploration is risky until and unless gold deposits are found. The cost of gold mining is also high but with the present day high gold prices it may be profitable.

The gold market is "very strong and could hit $3,500 in two years," according to Barry Dawes of Martin Place Securities.

Garth Bregman of BNP Paribas Wealth Management said he doesn't see "any catalyst" for gold to stop its rise in the short term, though there could be some consolidation around $2,000.

Long-term low interest rates and a tight gold market are factors that could continue to drive the rally in the precious metal.
